I agree, the problem is it looks worse than Dark Souls 1, noticeably worse.
All I know is the console version of DS2 looks noticeably worse than than the console versions of DS1 and considering From at one point even claimed the game would look similar to the original DS2 cgi trailer, it's a bit of a joke honestly.

I loved my time in the beta weekends and will defo be pre-ordering and subbing, it's only the second mmo I have ever enjoyed and so I'm pretty excited. The combat is where it truly shines especially with my stalker, it really does make wow feel very archaic.
Absolutely loving the beta so far, more than worth the sub for me, it's the best mmo I've played anyway.
I agree the campaign was a little short but it certainly wasn't 6 hours short unless you did a speed run, also the campaign was one of the strongest in the series.
I will buy the xbox one when:
1 They stop releasing it with the joke peripheral that is Kinect 2.
2 They drop the price even further to be a fair bit cheaper than the 50% more powerful ps4.
3 It gets at least 3 AAA games for it that are exclusive, although one that is as good as Halo CE would suffice.
4 They release a far more compact form factor for the console that doesn't look like it was thrown together in an afternoo...
When the next-gen has a game as awesome and ground breaking as Dark Souls then I will take the plunge, until then it's total waste of money imo.
And no I don't mean the inevitable conversion of Dark Souls 2, that game I will be getting for my pc, I mean a new ip that warrants me getting excited for the next-gen, so far it's just higher resolutions and gimmicks.

Rage still doesn't run well, the pop in is unbearable, the worst I have ever seen by a long shot even with all patches, it's like they released the game a year before it was ready. Also as a game it was inferior to Borderlands 2 in every way.
Doom 3 was inferior to Doom 1 & 2 in every way except graphics obviously, it was poor to say the least.
Carmack did well to get off of that sinking ship.

I got a really nice t-shirt, a poster of in game art, a badge, a bunch of digital goodies including the documentaries, soundtrack and game of course, my name in the credits and an old school style video game box as well as the actual game obviously.
Not a bad deal I suppose, shame the first act was a total pushover though, I have some hope that they will quadruple the difficulty in the 2nd act but it's probably a fools hope :(
