I remember by heart the colour pallete of the MD was 512 and the snes' was 32,668, yeah I was always a nerd!
I agree the mode7 chip in the snes really gave it an advantage but the MD's cpu when used correctly by developers like Treasure could do some sprite scaling of it's own like in the gorgeous Gunstar Heroes.
Sound wise yeah the MD really struggled in comparison, especially in the area of speech, but programmed well the MD was able to handle s...
My game of the year so far is Party Hard.
To be fair the Megadrives cpu was over twice as fast as the snes'.
Speaking of too much fanboy-ism... I don't think you capable of being objective.
I prefer to use my 360 controller, there's less chance of the analogue rubber peeling off or of spontaneous combustion.
The reviews scores look pretty spot on actually, all it's missing is a 7-8 for Fallout 4 and Edge would've nailed it.
They are at 5.5 million actually. Did you even read the article?
I think you are in the menus enough as it is.
The environments look OK but the models look horrible (they always do in a Bethesda game) as does the ai and mob animations, also the combat is as bad as ever.
At this point I think it's fair to say if Bethesda was a restaurant it would be a value for money all you can eat kind, you get your moneys worth but nothing truly outstanding. I'm not knocking it, it just explains it's popularity that's all.
He releases budget games at full price and the fanboys lap it up, if anythng he's a genius!
As a masculinist I'm even angrier.
That perhaps he's not qualified to be the judge of what's famous and what's not, clearly he's out of touch either way.
They basically make the same game over and over with a new skin, maybe that's why I'm bored with them.
For me it's (perhaps obviously):
gameplay first
then music
then art style and world immersion
then characters and story
depends on the type of game though.
As an example, I love Shovel Knight because:
the gameplay is so good
the music is top notch and sounds so nostalgic despite it being brand new
the art is beautiful and the world is cohesive and immersive
the story is perhaps light but great fun and...
What worries me more is that I loved Oblivion but Skyrim bored the heck out of me, I loved Fallout 3, will I get bored of the sequel, is it just more of the same gameplay that I'm sick of by now?
This is the first time they are charging for a mp only game though, count me out.
People said the same about Steam a long time ago, that Valve should stick to games only, maybe they are smarter than you :p
Fun little game, just don't expect a 10/10, more like a 7/10 for me, quickly gets boring unfortunately.
What worries me is that they won't support the PC going forward if it's too much of headache.
I'd say HotS is defo Blizz' weakest game, I really wish they put the sweet art into a Warcraft 4 instead. Overwatch is a good answer to the moba genre without the need for a poor mans clone of lol and DOTA 2 and yes I'm fully aware of the history of the moba.
