No, you are thinking that everyone who gets Halo is going to keep the game. People are going to sell their game, a LOT of people are going to sell there game.. why? Because the reply value lies on the MULTIPLAYER, and a lot of people buy the game for single player / co-up play.
Unless you expect everyone to stop buying games all together and just play Halo for the rest of the 360s life span. People are going to sell the game, in fact people started already:

Most likely they will buy USED copies of the game at a cheaper price. Buy middle of 2008 there will probably be a million USED copies of the game on GameStop etc..
Are you looking at those video comparison with a "sane" mind? There is by no means a VAST improvement in the graphics between Halo 2 and 3. Anyone trying to justify the graphics simply isn't a gamer, or is blind. The character model of the soldiers are lackluster at best. The environments do look good, but there are serious texture issues.

this is a DEMO run of the game, and probably the beginning of the game too. Which means the AI aren't as smart, and most of the time the enemy AI is turned OFF, to show of the combat system of the game. Have you played RPGs before?
Is usually the most generic one of the difficulty levels. Therefore this is probably the only ending that matters. The ending isn't that great, definitely a let down. But then again, Halo was never known for a great story line.

No one is saying the deal is bad, it's great it's so great that it seems to be a little DESPERATE on HD-DVDs part. Usually you buy the hardware and get some free software, not the other way around. It's a desperate move by HD-DVD anyway you look at it. Giving the more expensive unit for FREE, is desperation.

The game looks decent, the gameplay is the same as any RPGs, but that isn't a bad thing. I don't know about the story, from what I saw it's not that interesting. Anyways, I will probably pick it up if no other good RPG drops soon.
I have yet to see one Ps3 game have this problem, Resistance Fall of Man is a good example. The game doesn't have any bars when playing it on HDTVs etc.. And this isn't the first time this has happed. Remember Bioshock? This is a problem with the 360s memory bandwidth that won't allow for a large influx of data to starch the viewing spectrum.
