So what you're saying is that closing a contract doesn't warrant a bonus or perks.
Microsoft obviously pays it's guys bonuses to close on these deals, so you're reasoning doesn't really make sense as it wouldn't be any different between either side.
Why shouldn't Jim or any closer not make something for furthering their relations with publishers?
Seriously if this is all you guys have as so called arguments for why the acquisiti...
Definitely the best value in gaming, the sheer volume of quality content is staggering!
Awesome for TChia to be coming day one as it's the type of game that many would probably try out, gives me BOTW vibes, but with it's own flavor.
I also look forward to trying Ghostwire.
It doesn't have to be story driven, the games likely wouldn't bomb if they are made with care and you employ capable developers.
Invest in quality and you'll get quality.
I'll echo what others are saying below, Sony has actually bothered to make quality games for their platform, Nintendo obviously needs better hardware, but they bring the games and quality standards their platforms, which is why these two big players in the console industry are selling so well.
If Microsoft invested the money they're spending buying ZeniMax and Activision on creating new studios and hiring people that care about variety and quality of games then they...
Yep there's been nothing really fresh from anyone outside of Tango released after ZeniMax was acquired.
IMO Everwild looked really good, I suppose Sea of Thieves was similar, but since it has a stable playerbase and Microsoft can sell DLC and maintain a GAAS they don't care to get something like Everwild out of the door.
Likely Everwild is also a GAAS, if it even still exists.
These $80B+ MS has spent on acquiring 3rd party pubs could have been spe...
It would be a massive surprise if Naughty Dog did a game with Pixar style visuals, but I was thinking more of another studio taking it on, not sure who would do it though.
Perhaps Bluepoint Games.
I'd just love to see a quality remake done for at least the first game or a trilogy like Crash Bandicoot or the Spyro remakes.
ND will for sure do something realistic and gritty in some way from a visual perspective IMO.
Open worlds aren't inherently bad, they just have to be used to explore free exploration in the environments of those games.
Designed well the possibilities of an open world game are limitless and can be just as fun as more linear options.
Consumer friendly? When they buy up major publishing houses that make multiplatform games and force them to be exclusive to the XBox ecosystem when they were better established on PlayStation, with a larger paying audience.
Without ZeniMax becoming exclusive to XBox their games would have been on PlayStation, also if Nintendo had a powerful enough system then they would be on that platform too, as Nintendo has shown they can sell 3rd party games now on Nintendo systems.

VR as a perception option would be awesome IMO.
I hope we also get a Jak and Daxter remade like Ratchet & Clank 1 (only taking advantage of PS5), I'm sure loads of people would want that.
Once Factions has been released later this year the next game will be teased, probably with a title card or some teaser trailer.
ND tend to work pretty quickly given the depth they put into their games, so it will likely be out within 3 years, it's probably already in deep development anyway and they're getting close to making the final push on Factions before it goes into beta for gamers to start trying it.
Maybe 6 months to a year from when Faction launch...
Alongside Factions I hope we get an approach like The Last of Us or Uncharted, but tackling a Science Fiction, futuristic or Fantasy narrative.
ND could even go for something like a more grounded, dramatic, action story set in the real world, not post apocalyptical, but gritty and character focused.
I'm anticipating Faction to be a large, connected experience, with story elements baked into some Last of Us centered MMO style title.
Maybe not an open world, but hubs, which connect into large areas.
Think TLOU2's open area, many times that size and expanded over time, with persistently changing storylines going on throughout the Factions World.
I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog does when they move away from The Last of Us and Uncharted.
Taking that approach to a story driven science fiction or fantasy setting would be great IMO.
Something wide open, with a series of paths through the story, but a detailed open world game, that takes advantage of PS5 would be fantastic from ND IMO.
I meant to say '"Elder Scroll" and not Elder Wilds. ;)
Of course they are, this game, just like Fallout, Elder Wilds, etc would have been a multiplat until the ZeniMax deal went through. ZeniMax were an owner of a 3rd Party, Multiplatform Publishing House, exactly as Activision-Blizzard are.
Sony, Microsoft or whichever platform holder buying the rights to have exclusivity on one game here and there isn't the same as one of them buying an entire publisher, with control of all of those IPs going to that platform holder.
960X1080 per eye on PSVR1 vs 2000x2040 res per eye on PSVR2, 4X the pixel increase, the headset's lighter, there's no way the experience isn't improved by the display tech in use compared to PSVR1.
Eye tracking, better supporting hardware in PS5 by a massive margin, what is the point of this article?
Every genuine user of the device has praised the imagine quality improvement.
Playing some of the first game it was really quite dull, the recent Teaser of the 2nd game looked really boring, there was nothing exciting about that.
@Jin: You clearly didn't play Death Stranding at all, because it's far from being a walking sim.
@Muigi better performance is better performance.
The only reason PS5 hasn't had the VRR update yet is because Sony are waiting for the new HDMI 2.1 protocol.
MIcrosoft could have tried to take that approach, they probably did with the whole Rise of The Tomb Raider thing, but it didn't gain them momentum to sell more copies of those games.
They're even trying to use the lure of "cheap" Gamepass to get users into their ecosystem, but again that isn't working.
Literally the only thing that would work is new, quality games that you can only play on XBox, inundate your customer base with plenty of good ...
