You know full well PS Now is included in PS Plus Extra, it's included with the service.
Excellent points!
Nobody in their right minds should want these aquisitions of huge publishers to happen, especially when Microsoft have already bought one, a second should be an instant no go!
Why did Microsoft not just invest that level of cash into a bunch of new studios they've built from the ground up?!
Give to the industry and they'll change the way gamers view them in a positive way.
It's hilarious how certain people think the CMA will change their stance, they have valid concerns, are unbiased and want to protect UK competition, why should they allow some huge company to buy up what they want without restraint?
This doesn't stop Microsoft from pertnering with Activision to put CoD on Gamepass or stream those games, they can still make a deal between both companies.
Control is the issue and Microsoft should in no way be allowed to buy u...
That's a complete fabrication, you conveniently leave out that Sony created PS Now from those platforms, which were tiny compared to where they are now and still uses it, providing access to all PS Plus Extra subs can use it, accessing way more games than are available through Gamepass.
They haven't left anyone out to dry.
Buying up a huge publishing and keeping games off of the biggest console platform to attempt to drive traffic to your platform is what M...
Who the hell are you talking about?
Where are the nasty comments you're talking about?
I've seen tonnes of PlayStation fans praising Hi-Fi Rush, along with Tears of the Kingdom, along with other none PlayStation games.
If games are good then they get praised, you're either imagining it or inventing it, because I see mountains of XBox guys hating on anything and everything that isn't XBox made or partner made for XBox.
The...
@343_Guilty_Spark: It's not a lie at all, of course Xbox fans bad mouth Nintendo, because they have a large install base and actually get quality game releases.
When you talk about fanboys those are the outliers, the exceptions, they aren't the rule.
I bring up Nintendo because they get it from those hate filled Xbox Fans, that aren't getting much besides Multi Plats and very little 1st Party or unique releases you can't get besides on the XBox pla...
I can't wait to play Tears of The Kingdom, based on every other review I've come across it vastly improves on every aspect of Breath of The Wild, the only issues are being tied to Switch's hardware.
It certainly doesn't seem like a 6/10 game.
The Ultra Hand feature looks to have endless possibilities for playing around in the world and the other new abilities look like loads of fun.
Nonsense, even amazing games like Horizon Forbidden West, God of War, etc get it from the Xbox community, Redfall is bad mouthed because it's rubbish and comes from a developer that can create better, that's been proven to do so numerous times.
Hi-Fi Rush has been largely praised by gamers, PlayStaton ones included.
TBH the XBox community tends to have the most toxic fanboys of the bunch, you see a large portion of them hating on PlayStation and N...
Exactly, Activision are so massive they could definitely own a cloud gaming company to hoast games from server farms. The best way would be to become as vertically integrated a company as possible, that way costs can be kept down, don't rely on some other company that can dictate what happens with your products.
Activision Blizzard definitely doesn't need to be owned by Microsoft and Microsoft certainly doesn't need to buy them to do anything with them as a comp...
None of those people have zero knowledge, they just want to play the games they want to play, on the platforms they want to, without some big company coming along and thinking they can buy up everything they want to control the industry.
No one needs to own shares in Microsoft or some other company to have a say in where they buy products or play them.
The CMA aren't stopping Microsoft from building Server Farms on UK soil or hoasting games in this part of the world.
Microsoft can certainly partner with Activision all they want and hoast COD or any of their's and Blizzard's titles remotely from server farms in any of the countries that make up the UK.
What exactly is preventing Microsoft from building infrastructure and selling products on UK land?
Unfortunately for Phil it is his fault, it doesn't matter what he looks like, he should be identifying the realities of the situation and delegating from the top down to run the company well and fix those issues, he's not doing that and it shows in the results of an XBox owned studio putting out a game as bad as Redfall, even though the studio has a great pedigree, along with putting out very little in the way of releases even 2 and half years into this generation.
...
Surely Fable should at least look good and it has to be time to show off something of real gameplay for that, Avowed and Everwild, at this point I'll be happy to see that from Microsoft, but the lack of announcing hardly anything since the start of the generation should mean there should be a bunch of announcements.
After all of the negative coming from Microsoft over the the past few years they can't keep stuffing things up.
I hope Nintendo and S...
It's hilarious that they own the company who makes Doom, Wolfenstein, Elder Scrolls, etc and a bunch of other studios and they can't even release an XBox exclusive once every 2 months, they've barely gotten a handful of games out from 1st party since the Series consoles released.
They've been in the console game since a generation after Sony joined the market and they could have easily laid the foundations to cover every genre, with quality releases from every angle.
...
It's done!
The deal can't go through now, Microsoft should just pay the $3B to Activision for this failure and put the rest of the money they planned to invest in the deal towards making exclusives for XBox and Windows.
Actually give devs freedom to be creative, let 343i, along with any other longstanding XBox first studios make New IPs and get their creative juices flowing again.
XBox are stuck with having to give their games away for next to noth...
Arkane only have themselves to blame for not putting out a new game of the calibre of Dishonered or Prey, they have a track record and they're putting out a game that looks incredibly bland and uninteresting, plus it looks to lack the polish of previous titles they've made, when people know they are capable.
Most likely ZeniMax or Microsoft are pushing them to just put something out for XBox.
We'd be drunk over here to accept a monopoly like this happening, very anti-competition on Microsoft and Activision's part!!
Very unlikely, given PlayStation is where they sell most of their games and Sony gives them a tonne of cash in sales that's not happening.
Activision will be happy Microsoft going to have to pay them $3 Billion for the deal not going through.
Share holders won't be happy with Bobby for losing out on that $70B income, the company is likely to become devalued as a result!
Yep, Sony has had a tonne of devs already put out new games at the start of the gen, they also have new ones that have been working on projects most of that time, so announcements have to be imminent.
We're not far off many of the already announced projects getting solid release dates or windows either, with new gameplay ready to be shown.
I can't wait to see what Bluepoint has to have ready after the Demon's Souls Remake or Team Asobi after making Astr...
The CMA are just doing what they're meant to do, preventing corruption and they see through Microsoft's BS of trying to buy up and control the video games industry.
So the UK government will praise them for that, they're fullfilling their intended purpose.
There's no passive aggressive behaviour, but outright agression against corruption from those that would intend to throw their weight around and bully the market with their cash!
