The user base is just too small.
Third parties don't owe Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony anything. They go where the money is, and they shouldn't do it any other way. Right now Nintendo does more for the MH franchise in the west than Sony did, maybe in the future it will stagnant on Nintendo platforms and switch to Xbox or back ...

Sorry, it isn't going to happen. Nintendo has been very good to the Monster Hunter series and like it or not it has really improved in popularity in the west with Tri.

I was saying that people didn't say the PS2/DC weren't next gen in 1998/2000 so it's odd to hear people say the Wii U isn't next gen when it is.
I'm saying all of those systems (DC/PS2 and Wii U) were next gen at the time of their release (or impending release for the Wii U)

It is more powerful than current consoles, and introduces a new way to play games. Why is making games native 1080p, quadrupling the ram, and adding a new control mechanic not enough for people to call it next gen?
Did these same people say the PS2 wasn't next gen because it was outshined by the Cube/Xbox? Was the Dreamcast not next gen either in 1998?
Just because it's CPU is clocked lower doesn't mean it's weaker. A Triple Core Broadway clocked at 1.6Ghz could out perform the 3.2Ghz Xenon in a lot of ways. It isn't all about clock speed, if that's what you're talking about.
If the PS4/720 have quad-core CPUs @ 1.5Ghz they won't necessarily be weaker than the Cell/Xenon, that is if you're referring to clock speeds.
