They could have cancelled it and assembled new teams with new games instead of firing everyone. They have the money to do that.
A lot of talebt will leave imthe industry. It's too hard to get job security. I know a lot of industry people are considering exit plans.
Not in this capacity, we aren't even past january and the amount of layoffs is almost near half as many as in 2023, which was a record year for the industry. It's dark times indeed.
Well, that's atleast 1900 people who are less tha enthused about the merger. But atleast MS just crossed a 3 trillion dollar market cap, so all is fine.
It isn't, but a lot of the pals are obviously based directly on Pokemon designs. It's probably not illegal, just a little derivative and boring.
I think the way to go is to pick and choose services on a monthly basis. But yeah, it's a mess. Also hard to keep track of where to see the films and series you want to watch. I find a lot simpler to just buy the dvd at this point.
Also had to investigate this. Apparently Quake Champions is considered the fifth mainline game in the series.
Steam isn't the end all and be all of opinions, but it is worth noting that the game has a rating of mostly negative currently.
Well, some if is quite bad. Like everything related to the vase building mechanics. I refuse to believe that anyone finds fun in looting resources on empty planets.
Most quests are also kinda shit. A lot of running back and forth between loading screens. I didn't have to be this way, they knew that there would be loading when they planned these quests. Don't send me back and forth through 4 of them repeatedly.
Don't get me started on the temple quests. ...
I hoped it was something different. But game is mostly all the parts of Fallout 3 and Oblivion that I didn't care for mixed with some half baked new stuff put together in a messy way. I just think it's hard to find the fun in this game and it's too fragmented to live on exploration and atmosphere. Just a very disconnected game with a lot of parts where none of it is particularily interesting.
@Crows90
They are going all in on gamepass, obviously it will have consequences if they don't reach their targets. It's not like they weren't on the verge of exiting the gaming business before Spencer proposed Gamepass, so why wouldn't they consider it if gamepass failed to meet its goal?
We still need to see how gamepass fares in a scenario where MS releases those 4 big titles every year that they are gearing up to. And how it looks with cod. If these things don't give them a significant boost, they might throw in the towel.
But I do think they will get a boost when they eventually get the machine up and running.
Probably, but Phil Spencer mentioned that they need to make significant progress before 2027 if they were to continue as we know them.
It'll leave room for someone else to try.
They do this pretty often. I wish thet were better at getting games ported. It's a slow drip feed and the program will probably be over long before we get to the good stuff.
They are great and the inclusion of the collection is nice. But it allready existed, I think the most exciting part of Premium is that we sometime get new ports of classic that weren previously available, like Grandia. Prefer those additions over stuff that was allready available.
But if we just look at the games, then it's a pretty decent month.
It is confusing why they even included the spaceship. I didn't play for long before I started doing what I could to avoid spending time in space. It's surprisingly easy to skip the whole space part of the game, because the fast travel is so effective. It's also beneficial because you can avoid a lot of loading if you skip the ship as much as possible. Seems weird that a game about space would make me play it like this.
Classics are more previously available stuff, that's always slightly dissapointing. The road to Parasite Eve 2 and Shadow Tower is long. But good lineup regardless, I want to try salt and sacrifice.
I played for 25 hours. Was dissapointed 2 hours in, but decided I would give it a shot and see if the game could win me over. I allready paid the 10 bucks to play, so had to make the best of it. Enjoyed it somewhat for a while, but got fed up after around 20 hours and dropped it after 25 realizing it probably would only get worse from there.
I usually like Bethesda rpgs, but this one has none of the positives from earlier games and invents new negatives while the usual down...
I don't think they fired management and the shareholders.
