Clearly, the demo was pure failure. Seriously, the final game has photorealistic graphics with awesome tracks, it has nothing to do with this old build... Was the demo from 2005 or what ?
And the track, seriously ?? Raingods is the least fun... Show 'Sugar Rush', I don't know, any track was miles better than the one you chose. -_-
I agree, it was hard to fail more in marketing than they did with Motorstorm PR.
For once I agree with you, I have trouble stopping playing this game, it's the ultimate arcade racer.
It's really a shame this game didn't sell well, I rarely had so much fun playing a game. Tracks are awesome, speed is huge, it's beyond everything you know as an arcade racer.
The reason it flopped until now is because it wasn't called Motorstorm 2 (which is stupid since it IS motorstorm 2), which gave it a cheap 'addon' feel. The box art wasn't great either, it looks like a budget title, which it is not at all when you play it.

Yeah, I want Folklore 2 bad too. It's a pity Foklore was rated just under 80, it was easily worth much more with such great gameplay, boss battles, game design and beautiful art direction. Only the translation from japanese was only average, and they were penalized a lot because of that...

- Xbox Live downtime (you pay for something with less uptime than the PSN which is a similar free service)

PS3 already has multiple nice RPG though, even without WKC like :
- Valkyria Chronicles (AAA exclusive)
- Disgaea 3 (AA exclusive)
- Fallout 3
- Oblivion
- Folklore (AA exclusive, one of the most underrated games in my opinion... one of the most beautiful too)
There are a bit more on 360, but their quality is lower.
But yeah, WKC should be great.
This could spell major trouble for microsoft, especially since it comes after multiple failures like Zune, the Yahoo bid, Vista failure, Xbox 1 failure, the RROD, the Xbox Live downtime failure, and the 360 failure to gain market share worldwide vs the PS3 (although it's doing ok in one country, the US).
I wouldn't be surprised if they try to cut their losses by giving up on gaming much sooner than expected. After all, they were outsold by the PS3 last year and this year too, and...

For me it's the exact opposite, I love PS3 games a lot more. There was no AAA exclusive this year on 360 except Gears, while on P3 we had gems like MGS4, LBP, Wipeout, Valkyria Chronicles or Resistance 2.
PS3 looks clearly like the best choice right now, so it's no surprise it wins in sales worldwide too.

Yeah, sure, I think Sony is really afraid now with a PS3 install base of more than 2 millions there (vs 800k for the 360) and with PS3 outselling 360 3:1 every week from the beginning of the year.
