There is nothing original or revolutionary about using a camera for motion tracking. Its been around for years. The only reason its not widespread is because for gaming, its not that great. Maybe Kinect will change that, but probably not.
Which cars are the irrelevant ones?
LOL, he thinks its a trilogy. Surely there's more milk in it than that.
There actually is lots of speculation in the MMO world about that...Even Blizzard has said its possible in the future.
Yeah, I've seen that, though I still don't think that makes it definitive. Any online game requires live, so thats just kind of a blanket statement. It doesn't really prove that the console version is in development, just that if they DO make one, it will require a gold sub.
Again, I'm not saying it won't be on consoles, but I'm still not satisfied with that as a complete confirmation. There *could* be a scenario where the pc and console versions are...
Other than MOH coming with beta access, has there actually been hard confirmation of a console version? I haven't looked into it that deeply, but thought that only PC was confirmed as of yet. Though it would be odd to give beta access to a pc game in a console game box.
My brother has an uncle.
Is this a remake or a remastering? If its remade with new updated models, textures and map geometry,physics and lighting, awesome. If its just remastered in HD...whoop-dee-do.
I finally saw a Kinect being demoed @ Best Buy this past weekend. I was actually surprised at how much lag there was. I don't know if they guy playing could tell, but from watching it was quite obvious.
@Chaos
Of course they're all popular for a reason. Nobody said it was the same one though ;)
Started out as a PC franchise actually.
"Since yesterday"
LOL. You must be new around here :)
While I do respect CD Projekt and think that people should buy their games, I don't see the logistics in this plan. Maybe if I read more about it. They could send you a fine/bill, sure. But what obligations do you have to pay it? They'll threaten with legal actions, but I'd imagine these actions would be the exact same as the current ones in place for game piracy. Seems more of a scare tactic than any kind of solution.
I was really disappointed that the cars don't accelerate and break for you. I thought I'd only have to bother with steering...

My 3rd 360 is still working. I think. I've stopped using/investing money in it since Fable 2. I just can't bring myself to spend any more cash on something that will probably just break.
Maybe not so at the original release, but The Witcher currently has no drm on it, and it seems to have done well enough to warrant a sequel.
Well, AKS is actually supporting your arugment for you.
"Would you place financial value as similarly important for movies and books?"
The value would be similarly important. I won't pay $60 for a 3 hour movie, and I won't pay $60 for a 3 hour game. I will however pay $10-15 for a 3 hour movie as well as for a 3 hour game.
Alot of people, believe it or not, don't care that much about multiplayer. They want a good story and perhaps to be awed by the graphics. If a game comes out with a 4-8 hour story, hardly any of those people are going to drop $60 on it.
I think you said that backwards.
Only noobs who started playing games this gen, and never experienced the older games, think gta IV is a masterpiece.
@IHateYouFanboys
I think you're a bit confused about what 1:1 accuracy means. If it was true 1:1, as my arm was going up, the avatars arm would be going up, and the split second I change directions, the avatar would as well. This isn't the case. If you start waving up and down, the avatars arm will be all the way down, as yours is all the way up, and they won't sync together at all. It lags behind your motions so it isn't 1:1.
For an examp...
