Well, after reading this jump I concluded that while the big 3 may be guilty of some success, it seems that this Anascape is nothing but a patent troll and has waited years to file this crap (since Gamecube?), and have a buddy relationship with this Texas district court, who in turn is known for bringing the hammer down quite readily on patent infringements. Anyway, there should be a statute of limitations on this sort of thing from an 'IP company'. I can see some old guy going 'Oh, snap!' ...

A seeming outreach with an underlying irony.

Kinda like the full power of my PC on linux, huh?

So this kid broke his controller and thinks two chips look the same so someone should hack it. Both systems have similar controls, can we exploit the shape of the buttons too?

I'm sorry, but this article seems like a platform-elevated comment. Nothing new here than inciting banter.

Anyway, to succumb to the peer pressure, I'll add that both systems bring intriguing potential to this console generation, and it's the 'other side' you detest (that means both of you) that snaps up units and makes these discussions possible. Developers will continue to refine their exploitation of our sacred boxes, and compete for our lunch money.

My excitement for trophies has waned. I applaud Sony for adding this fan service to the PS3, and every other feature they add, as this console generation makes me feel that we the fanboys are being heard as new updates are brought in. It's exciting enough that current-gen hardware is so extensible, and it's keeping that in mind that I try not to get wrapped up in a single feature. That being said, regardless of when a game came or is coming out, these developers are the experts as they mad...

Kudos to Capcom for bringing another great game to potential new owners and fans of the console versions. I typically enjoy trying them on my PC for a graphically-enhanced experience, albeit even for ridiculous frame rates.

'GTAIV' is the equivalent of Red Dawn, and will cause hypnotic, murderous rage. Just judging by the mug shots, these kids obviously do this type of 'I don't fit in' BS all the time. At least only some guy's teeth got busted. If games were such an effective terrorist VR trainer, then why the hell couldn't 4 new recruits jack a BMW? Was the driver an MMA fighter? They need quality family time.

How many more 'exclusive' characters will we see from other games? Is this another soul calibur game or a fan service installment?

I have been kinda feeling the same sentiment. On the other hand, it is relaxing to sit down and dominate a virtual world, but honestly I would trade realistic graphics for better AI (don't just swarm me with danger, make it lethal), physics (hit detection, realistic player movement/negotiating obstacles), and smarter presentation. Too many turds nowadays are playing dressup.

Wonder if this new samurai netcode will be bundled in UE3.

On another note, I wonder if Cliffster has nerf Lancer fight sleepovers with Marcus Fexix underoos.

As an owner of both systems, I actually play my 360 far more. However, I am both glad and intrigued to see news like this, as it makes me happy for my black box. People complain 360 games wouldn't be possible on PS3, hell, why not? The PS2 had only 32MB RAM (correct me if I'm wrong) and they squeezed out GoW. That's all I think about when seeing the PS3s split mem. The only thing that bothers me on the PS3 is the color palette. I guess it's in the nvidia driver.

Not to take anything away from this game's achievement, but I think that comment was a little overzealous... Super Mario World back in its day was pretty damn impressive.

Finally played through COD3 last night, wasn't terribly impressed. I saw where they really tried to stay faithfully engaged with the cinematics, music and pacing, but too many small things left me kinda blah through most of the game (especially the end). Most frustrating was the 'ok, i'm ready' hit detection, at times taking 2-3 head shots to take someone down. It was alright, but I felt like longing for more COD2 with running and nade throwback. Mm, will be watching this one with one eye...

My jaw actually dropped during the trailer. Capcom is very impressive indeed - why can't all developers produce similar results? Engines and art direction? I'm not an expert, but I will definitely be watching for this one, regardless of system (who cares, really?).
