I totally agree with the author. It had amazing universe design, characters, story and artwork.
1.88 mill on VG across both system is still too low for real profit, and the first months sales were terrible, most of those were bargain bin sales.
I doubt they profited from the game, if they did, they'd put it on PS3 and 360.
Yeah, excellent gameplay ruined by EVERYTHING else. The story and music were 2/10.
The real reason: "It sold like shit on PS3 and 360"
If it sold millions on 360 and PS3, Bayonetta 2 would be on PS3 and 360.
It's not like PS3 and 360 users even bought the game, its sales were very low. How many of these people whining even bought the first game or didn't pick it up from a bargain bin.
If Bayonetta 1 sold well, guaranteed Bayonetta 2 would have been on 360 and PS3.....
Bayonetta sold terribly on PS3 and 360, chances are these complainers didn't buy the game or bought it from a bargain bin.
At $200 maybe, but for now I'd rather spend that money on a gaming PC.
PS3 fanboy logic:
"Insomniac are traitors for not being PS3 exclusive!!"
...never bought or played Resistance 1-3.
Aren't current gen consoles the wrong focus for comparison? This gen is over.
Why doesn't he tout how superior Wii U is over PS2 and Gamecube hardware while he's at it.
Well compared to 360, it probably takes 20x longer to update the console and had far more updates. I actually, had 2 in 2 days and in terms of features, very little has been introduced that I care about (group chat).
Sony fanboys defend PS3 at any cost eh,
nothing can be improved [sarcasm]
I have both consoles and as impossible it is to believe, there are somethings MS does quite a bit better than Sony.
I was really hoping apple would have introduced some viable gaming control scheme for the iphone 5, even if it attached around the sides. Some standard device with buttons is needed.
I love Halo but it will probably just die of old age. Long term fans don't want much gameplay change and newer gamers think it's old school.
Half of the launch titles are current-gen games.
I disagree with Uncharted 2, while the game is excellent. the shooting mechanics just aren't good enough.
I know, it's so annoying. I bought NHL13 yesterday and instead of being able to pop in an play I had to sit through another prolonged PS3 system update.
That interface looks pretty amazing for TVs actually, especially the typing interface. It's what the 360 dash should have been like (about games not ads).
Serious CS players take CS too seriously.
This gen is too old to generate any real excitement anymore.
I blame PS3 architecture more than anything, where is Kutaragi now? Devs shouldn't have to spend extra time and money making something run properly.
PS3 came out a year after 360, every multiplat should have looked better than 360 instead of struggling with parity.
If MS had free online they probably would have eliminated Sony from the console race this gen.
The sad thing is that development for it was overly time/resource intensive to demonstrate that it was more powerful for all but a few Sony exclusives. The majority of multiplats (and most popular games) looked and ran better on 360.
I would have sold my 360 a long time ago if I could depend on my PS3 to have multiplats that even were equal to 360, but I couldn't. Kutaragi totally f'ed up PS3 design. It could have been more powerful and easy to develop for.
