This gen is not at all exciting anymore. There are some good game coming out this fall that I'll probably pick up but nothing is like the first 3 years of a new console-gen in terms of exciting gameplay and graphics.
I went from buying about 8-10 games a year at $60 to 3-4 at no more than $40 in the last two years (most $20-30). Not sure if I can ever go back to paying new release prices, as waiting is not that difficult anymore.
This gen just went o...
From the vid, PS3 looked slightly sharper with slightly more jaggies most of the time but the amount of perceptible difference (to me) is about 1% so they are virtually identical.
My only dilema in this case is whether to go with my preferred controller or achievement system. I much prefer trophies to achievements (they're not random points and a platinum means a lot more than 1000GS when DLC is involved) but I like the 360 controller more, unless a game requires ample...
While MS doesn't really offer a lot of new exclusives they're the top innovators in many other ways in the console arena, achievements and the focus on online come to mind.
I like the idea of just calling it Xbox.
It's not like any person is going to walk into Walmart, ask for an Xbox and get asked, "Do you want the one that came out 12 years ago or the new one?
Apple did it with the iPad and consumers weren't confused. It is likely the last console gen (as we know it) so I wouldn't mind them going out as simply XBOX and Playstation.
Best thing to do is ignore people like that and walk away, his 'comedy' won't exist if nobody engages with him in conversation.
I wonder if he tries his brand of comedy on his family, viscously insulting them for no reason.
Seriously, the world would just be a happier place without him.
I hate that guy but that wasn't sexual assault.
Sexual assault is extremely seriously and shouldn't being used lightly, so I think both the author of the article and that 'interviewer' are complete asshats.
Maybe Dishonored gameplay is what the Assassins Creed series should be.
Bungie handled difficulty perfectly for heroic and legendary imo. It actually made you feel skilled and was difficult without being cheap.
Some levels were terribly monotonous but I found heroic required just enough skill to make you feel like the universes greatest soldier without being too easy and legendary rewarded persistence without being frustrating (most of the time).
I rather nothing, 25 cents is just insulting. It's like giving the pizza delivery guy a 1 cent tip.
Who cares, if it has or hasn't it still going to look past gen. I bet the PS1 wasn't maxed out, doesn't mean I care to see if it can be.
Damn, so interested but so unwilling to support click whore sites desperate for hits. Put all ten in one page or at least put 5 a page, I just can't support sites like this.
I guess I'll never know.
That's great but Sony is jumping the gun with 4k resolution though, a lot of people are still on their first round of 1080p HDTVs.
As far as 4K is concerned, internet, cable TV and storage is not red E
I can't rate because I didn't buy it; however, from my experience with the demo, the game was extremely boring....
I thought the graphics were great for current gen though. Still never buying it no matter how cheap.
All the best to Cliffy, I'm aware that a team makes a game but I identify him and Gears 1 as the the maker of my first next-gen (now current) experience. I loved Gears 1 and I hope he can lead another team to even greater success.
He also crashed heads with MS about releasing free DLC early on in the game, while MS and the industry as a whole won that battle, I give a lot of credit to a man who understands gamers because he actually is a true gamer himself.

MS requires 25000 points to get a laughable 2% off.
PSN+ gives at least 40% off almost everything and gives a substantial amount of content away totally free.
Games, Microsoft, gamers was games. Next-gen will be very interesting, not sure if MS's excessively greedy practices will continue working. It's pathetic that the worlds 3rd richest tech company is so blatantly cheap. No wonder PS3 has been outselling it monthly worldwide for a while now.
So there is no spoon.
Time to start mind hacking the universe.
Wii U is that price because of the controller. The controller is probably 30-40% of the production cost instead of 5%-10% like most other consoles.
If so, they should recognize that the majority of gamer voices on the internet are extremely negative.
Forums and gaming sites comment sections are largely cesspools of vitriol. The majority of gamers, those positive voices that you don't often hear, are too busy enjoying games most of the time.
Judgement reserved.
Why not just make Black Ops 2 for it and allow PS3 and Vita gamers to play each other and continue playing on Vita.
