It's called a backup. PS3 is awesome that way, I can't back up my 360 but my PS3 is.
I'd like more AAA sci-fi games, what I can do without is more modern military shooters.
MMFPS games this gen = WW2FPS games last gen.
PS3 and 360 worldwide sales are virtually identical so PS3 was clearly a success...just not nearly as big of a success as PS1/PS2.
MS is a much different competitor than Nintendo and Sega, next-gen should be very interesting.
Oh yes it is.
I loved the forced walk, it allowed for story progression and 'bonding' with the squad.
And in Red Dead, I just put aiming to expert.
I can't be the only person not at all impressed by this.
MS has done a very good job keeping 360s OS exciting with new updates and features.
I use to hate the ads but now I find they're useful, they are mostly game related and pretty much just tell you when new demos and previews are out or stuff like Forward Unto Dawn which is awesome.
I like the apps too (when they work), I'm glad MS is trying hard to innovate...now they just need to invest a little in AAA new ips.
In terms of story yes, interms of stealth gameplay not at all. At least judging from Conviction.
0.000000002% of purchases valued at $1000 or more.
PS3 has been outselling 360 worldwide all year by quite a bit.
Once (large) fraction of the market is not enough to determine which console sells the most.
I'm the same way, I used to hate them....until I went on Craigslist. Now I love them cause I pretty much get a 40%-60% discount on everything.
I used to hate them for years, until I went on Craigslist and Kijiji and found them for cheap. Now I'm paying roughly 60% less for everything.
People must steal them or something because there's alway an amazing deal. But every time I buy them it's always off some guy in his late 30s early 40s who has a job so not sure.
iPhone and G3s are similarly priced/over priced. In fact most smart phones off of a contract are overpriced.
Some games work great on iPhone/Android (golf, old school RPGs, puzzle/board/card games) but anything that requires precise and quick movements won't (action, platformers, shooters).
The worst was Joystiq giving Kinect's Gunstringer and Child of Eden 100% review scores.
This was right at the time when MS was pushing so hard for people to believe Kinect was for core gamers.
I actually haven't gone back to Joystiq after that, it was just so obvious that they were on the take.
This is very old news to N4G users, I think most of us have known for a while that publishers are influencing review scores and preview coverage.
Some games are so hyped that anything below 8.5 is virtually impossible.
The one game that got away with review score murder (and failed consumers) was Gears 2. I love the Gears series but Gears 2 MP was completely buggy and broken for over a year, I couldn't even get into games half of the time and when I did,...
Knowing Sony, whatever it does with Gaikai will be half-assed.
...like Move, the internet browser and PS3s OS but I hope I'm wrong.
I have no interest in buying a Wii U; however, I'm extremely interested in PS4 and 720.
I doubt Wii U will get most multiplats, and the ones it does will look significantly better on PS4 and 720 so I'm not sure how Wii U will compete in the same market.
No matter what, the next gen will be interesting.
Glad to see Sony stepping up their game, next up should be the OS.
I haven't played Halo 4 but, I've definitely already played Black Ops 2 albeit with different maps and story so in all likelihood I'd say Halo 4 imo.
