Move on guys!!! This games is neither exceptional nor bulls**t... Yes its highly cinematic but it does not reach half the height of cinematic game like Heavy Rain...Gameplay is minimal...Another mediocre "AAA" game this gen...Publishers and Devs are going for easy money this gen...We, who buy the games with our hard-earned money, are the only losers...Games that are exceptional get praise from everywhere...Look at Dragon Age Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Last of Us remastered, Bayonetta 2...
Best Game this gen so far which is not a remaster...
With all the fights between Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo is upping their game in software like every gen in the past...
This one developer compelled me to buy a console last gen and looks like it will not be different this gen...
The days of CRPG and turn based strategies are coming back...
Wastland 2, Pillars of eternity, Torment ...man I am going to have no life...
So much demoes...No real game...
Its normal...November becomes frantic in those great RPG years....Like 2011...all major RPGs seem to finish their development cycle at the same time...
Other devs have many things to take and learn from this game...I love the battles...So many tactics...The elemental reactions and realistic crafting is the best ever and this is coming from someone who has been eating and drinking almost every RPG for last 20 Years...
The GAME!!!
And the exclusivity war begins...
Sony will surely retaliate...
But that IN 2015 thingy seems fishy...
Best story and melee combat in an open world game...
That's a compliment IMO...
Indie games are going big with the help of Indie GoGO and kickstarter...
Innovation was already there and now funding is there too...
Indies are the AAAs of this gen...Don't believe me? Look at Divinity:Original Sin, Star Citizen or Wastelands 2...
I was doubtful about this game after so much mixed reviews...
Yes..the game is damn hard(much harder than dark souls 2). Every single enemy requires well planned strategy....Timing NOT mashing is the key....
Gameplay is fluid...
Visuals are not that good but way better than Dark Souls 1....
Story is very intriguing and choices DO matter...
You are correct on literal meaning...Yes AAA means high quality big budget games....but some small/mercenary devs are producing the same quality products with a much smaller budget...To me those games are AAA in quality without the money of AAA games....
Obsidian does it yet again!!!...The studio that makes AAA games without AAA money.....
I really want this game to deliver on its promise...This is a potential game-changer...First AAA budget title from kick starter...This could signal the end of big publishers like EA and Activision...
Indie is booming now....And indie means high risk taking innovative games...
A welcome change in my opinion...
Exactly what I said....Major devs are not comfortable designing their games on CryEngine as they are with Unreal Engine....
Nope!!! I don't play games for their looks....I play them for their gameplay and story....just because any game is lower end devices(PSP,NDS,Wii) does not make them bad....The fact that major devs are still not using CryEngine is proof that it needs much more work to come to the same league as Unreal Engine...
CryEngine was always about best graphics...but the problem is graphics does not matter that much when gameplay and story is mediocre....Great developers are not using this engine....very few cryengine games have excellent story and gameplay...CryEngine games always build hype upon looks, not the real thing that matters....
Finally!!!....
