Thanks for your relevant comment and inputs. The games below 70% are not exactly excluded. Just they are not shown in the later charts (All releases are shown in first chart bars). At the end of the day, good games define a console. But your are right, Xbox maintained similar trend over the years for good or better(>70%) releases. Cannot comment on PS4 yet.Will look at that in next week.

The point was to prove it with hard numbers because mere words do not prove anything and to measure how much dominant the genres are. It is well known fact that shooters and action-adventures are leading from start of 3D era.

Exclusive game wise, you can't go wrong with Nintendo. But the botched up big time regarding third party titles in Wii-U. But things are looking up for them in Switch with lots of publishers joining. I was cynical about Zelda:BOTW because of its open world nature, man I was so wrong, for me the best game this gen after witcher 3.

True. Everyone has a preference. I personally rank 'Alpha Protocol' by Obsidian as one of my favorite games but it was universally bashed by both users and critics. But with so many games to choose from, one cannot judge all my themselves and thus the reviewers come in.
The point is in the article is that,in case of PS4, Naughty dog is in the top list of both Critics and Users. But in case of XBox One, no such studio is there.

Games are for entertainment...This game and Heavy Rain are not gameplay focused, but they are focused on story and the emotional journey through an alternate universe...Was I entertained? Absolutely...I forgot to eat or sleep...That's the level of immersion this game have...
Besides, Naughty Dog was the only developer who compelled me ...
I have put 104 hours so far... Can't stay away from it even returning home after 12 plus hours of office... Superb game... Best open world experience so far for me... The environment alone kills competition...
Usage says nothing about a game's prowess... Witcher 3 uses my 80% resources while Van Helsing 3 does more than 90...It all depends on optimization, calculations per frame, object densilty etc...
For me, whenever I switch from one racing game to another that has different handling method, it feels clumsy at first... I got Project Cars last night and tried out 125cc Karts and in the first hour or two, I was just running out of curbs or oversteering it...But after some races, got the hang of it and its pretty intuitive...AI if notched above 90 can be pretty daunting and there is no easy turns...My biggest gripe is that UI is pretty bland and visuals are not what I expected...
The demo/graphical benchmark making company is back... I wish they had the brains to write a good story...
