incredible or underwhelming.
Incredible if you can shape the tracks yourself but in terms of turns as well as elevation. Underwhelming if it just means you can vary the start and end points or different paths from existing tracks.
I hope it's the former.

certainly much more powerful than the 360 as evidenced by two top of the line exclusives, GT5 Prologue (2007) and Forza 3 (2009).

Obviously Uncharted more advanced visuals but the gameplay isn't for everyone. I really don't care much for shooters so I wouldn't play either game.

GT5 Prologue wins by a landslide. So much so that the writer apologies not just for saying so but for Turn10 with un...
What he failed to mention about Forza 3 is the warped camera perspective. While GT5P uses a realistic field of view, Forza 3 artifically warps it so that distant objects appear even farther away than they really are.
The benefit of this from a performance standpoint is that you can use lower detail models for much of the environment until the car is closer to them.
The pictures below are perfect for demostrating what Turn10 has done because it provides a common poin...
it's due to lack of visibility.
This article had been intentionally made virtually "invisible."
As for the author, I don't think he prefers the 360. From the way he writes about some of the better PS3 games he can't seem to reign in his excitement. The wording gives away his enthusiasm.
I think, more than anything else, he is trying very hard to maintain a reputation of being "fair" in an environment where, if he did not give 36...
They are surely utilizing the Cell to some degree. The amount of dynamic geometry is just massive.
DF did a good analysis of Forza 3 which outlines not only where it's improved over Forza 2 but also where there are some cutbacks.

Strange that this high profile analysis isn't making the front page of N4G.
At the time I'm writing this it's not showing up on N4G searches either.
The only reason I discovered it on N4G was because I tried to submit it myself and was presented with a link to this submission as proof that it was already submitted.
Where those pictures came from:

1) Compared to Forza 2, somethings have been "scaled back" to make some improvements possible.
2) Multiple apologies and excuses for stating the obvious: GT5's lighting is much more sophisticated despite rendering twice as many cars at 50% higher resolution.
While the article stated outright that GT5P's visuals are far better than Forza 3, at least 20% of the article was dedicated to apologizing for the article and even for Turn10 and their supposed "d...
Bullshots. Typical Nvidia.
Who can forget the hilarious claim that the original Xbox could push 125M polygons per second!
This ship is absolutely huge. There is only one application for which it is a better solution than anything we have today and old-fashioned PC based gaming isn't it.
One of the reviewers attributes Uncharted 2's visuals to time and money rather than hardware capability.
Microsoft has far more money than Sony. The 360 has been in production a year longer than the PS3. Microsoft's own uber-rich developers have been slaving away on 360 dev-kits for ages.
Yet nothing on the 360 approaches the original Uncharted in visuals, let alone Killzone 2, Uncharted 2.
Uncharted 2 itself is an interesting contrast to Forza 3. ...
would rather pay for something they could easily do themselves then someone ought to provide them with that service. Similarly if those adults are too lazy to think things through properly before making a purchase, Best Buy can't be blamed.
It's not Best Buy's fault that these people are stupid and lazy. It's not Microsoft's fault that some people are stupid enough to pay $50/year for something that everyone else gets free of charge or pay $150 for a $50 hard-drive. It's not r...
getting rid of all the garbage Microsoft puts in there like MSN Messenger, Windows Live software, trial MSOffice, etc...
Then you have to defrag the drive to consolidate the base data.
Then you have to turn off all the unnecessary OS functions called "Services" (for reasons unknown, these are on by default) that not only slow down your computer but make it too damn easy for someone to hijack your computer remotely and use it for illegal purposes without you...
Then again they've always been last in sales. Despite a few good months here and there, the overall average annuals sales of the 360 is actually behind that of the PS3 and the Wii.
It's no wonder some people are trying very hard to keep articles like the following from showing up on the front page of N4G.
