Games being rushed will only get worse if the industry get their way and kill off the second hand market, while ever the used market exists they can't just release any old crap without any repercussions.
Consoles don't need the latest 7970 GPU to match PC's, sure Wii U won't be anywhere as powerful but the games will utilise the hardware very efficiently which cannot be said for PC games.
Nintendo have always been about gameplay anyway, the fact that Wii U has pretty good specs is just a bonus.
This sets a dangerous precident that they can modify the T&C anytime they want and if you don't like it say bye bye to your games collection.
I can't wait to see this practice squashed in European courts, digital distribution is going way too far with EULA's and T&C's and claiming that people don't own the software they have bought.
Any other industry would be laughed out of court if they tried to tie a EULA to their products, soft...
FPS games have been selling since the early 90's at least we had some diversity back then, I'm sick of developers recycling their FPS engines to release umpteen generic shooters with a different storyline and different models, especially when they're piggy backing on the name of classic games.
Oh look, it's a FPS game who'd have thought it.
Can we have some originality back please? the Syndicate games are classics, why dirty the name by turning them into just another generic FPS with a different story and a few gimmicks?
It's like Hollywood re-releasing old films with rubbish updated versions just to make some quick money.
PS3 looks like it has RGB Full set incorrectly, the blacks are crushed.
It would be nice if they fixed the bugs and inherent flaws in the game instead of milking us with extra content that could have been included from the get go (had they not rushed it out the door to begin with).
Another idiot to put up with on Live.
Looking forward to the sequal when it RRODS..
Control, control, control...
The 360 has been a console in decline since its high period of 2007, nothing short of a new console will stand in the way of PS3's momentum.
Poor reliability, an expensive online service and few exclusive games is driving a lot of people to PS3.
Not enough to justify a 50% cut in the frame-rate.
It's not like it's going to be full 1080P as a result, any difference will be minimal what it comes down to is laziness in my opinion.
"The human eye really can't make out much of a difference between 60 and 30 FPS."
That's true if you're merely watching something, but when gaming you are interacting with it and there is certainly lag in 30fps games which is easily recognisable.
Try playing a 60fps and then going to a 30fps game or vice versa, if you can't tell a difference I'll be astonished.
Well if they can't be bothered to optimised a game for 60fps I'm not buying it.
It's one of the biggest reasons I fell out with my 360 way too many 30fps games.
Every 12mths a rumour pops up about Bluray for 360, what makes this time any different?
There's an old saying that if you repeat a lie often enough people will start to believe it.
This isn't going to happen, for one it will isolate most of their userbase and secondly they make a lot more profit sticking a $20 DVD-ROM drive inside.
Xbox 360 cannot compete with PS3 anymore they would be better putting their efforts into their next generation console.
It's faster but not consistently faster, developers still have to organise data intelligently on the edge of the DVD disc because that is only where it reaches its "peak" read speed.
I'd honestly take a 4GB install over the noise of the 360's DVD drive.
Also, I've just bought Forza 3 and that has an "optional" 2GB install not to speed up the load times but to give you the complete game, it is a far bigger issue on my 360 with its 13GB space compar...
Well Forza 3 is an Xbox 360 exclusive and it suffers really badly with poor texture filtering and jaggies, it's certainly not a patch on GT5 visually.
Most of the better looking 360 exclusives are 30fps as a result.
The physics alone would bring the 360's Xenon CPU to its knees, it's not enough just having a great GPU you need a CPU capable of performing physics/AI etc and feeding the GPU, it's no coincidence that many of the best looking 360 titles run at only 30fps.
Thanks to the "Second hand market hurts developers" brigade who are thoroughly brainwashed by publishers this sort of thing will be just the beginning.
Don't like it? tough we've got your money now.
