Yeah, only way this could work is if there was some sort of maturity and aptitude tests protecting the community and excluding people from talking, haha. People get competitive over everything for no reason.

I've been watching a lot of comparison videos between games on retro systems and there are still people fighting over whether the genesis/pc engine/snes port of each game is best decades later. You'd think they'd have grown out of it, but nooo.

That doesn't really work. I can't think of a single situation in which that approach works.

Talking about it doesn't necessarily help either but not talking about it doesn't stop things.

I'm always a bit surprised when JRPGs do really well here in the U.K. It's great news, but I don't tend to trust the public's choices. Maybe we're not that bad after all. XD

The combat was much deeper in 3 & 4.

Whether something is fun or not is subjective though, it's fine to prefer one, but technically there's more going on in the earlier titles, and more skill involved in their execution.

I hope you're getting the appropriate care/medical help to assist you. Good luck with this, unseen disabilities can be really grinding.

So presumably the only reason they had a proprietary connector in the first place was to stop people easily plugging their pretty great (tech wise) and heavily subsidised cameras into the PC and doing fun hacky stuff instead of buying into the Xbox eco system? :/

Who cares about waiting so long? Rift and DK2 users were playing stuff in VR months/years before PSVR even came out and Alien Isolation was every bit as good in VR as RE7, which will be working on PC VR shortly anyway. Elite Dangerous and Project Cars/ Asseto Corsa, etc etc are great in VR on PC too, and a lot more demos etc. Minecraft' native support is pretty great also.

It's worth having both but I certainly feel no pull to get PSVR yet as a Rift DK2 owner.

I collect video games too and am incredibly glad that I don't have to physically own all the boxes. Generally by the time a platform is fully unsupported it can be emulated. (the PS3/360 generation will take longer than most..) launchbox is one hell of an interface for large multi system game libraries.

Slightly faster downloads is one of the worst reasons to get a console I've seen.

From the early destiny trailers and clips through the leaked art and confirmation of an epic plot and stuff that only came through in codex card thingies.. to this tonally bizarre intro for D2.

I really liked the epic world building and promise of the original, from my POV they've gone soooo off track.. I wonder what the original writers think of this interpretation. 🤔

If it turns out to be great I'll still likely get it, it's just a s...

Does it beep like someone is pressing the eject button, or just do it randomly? If it's a faulty touch sensitive button it might be a reasonably easy DIY fix.

Yeah, I would. But I like that my PS4 is a BD player too etc. You'd still get games in boxes, they'd just have download codes. (Like the child of light PS4 collectors edition.)

We've been buying into discless platforms for some time. PC may as well be, and mobile. If I had physical boxes for my entire collection I'd be running out of space. :D

That would be something. 😅

"Why did bioware hire people based on feminism instead of talent." They didn't. Those things aren't mutually exclusive and there's no reason to think raw talent was the problem.

They didn't pass over other hires to go for gay or trans devs. Thats totally unprovable and silly.

ME:A seems somewhat badly managed and needed longer in the oven.

Or they could do it well.. people liked it in some of their games and The Witcher.. A lot of people really like this facet of the game so they should just.. not make it bad. :D

Reality check: there is a lot of homosexual activity in other animal species. It's not a unique human thing or a recent one at that. It's part of the natural order. More so than video games. ;)

You don't get to decide the "rules of the universe."

It's no more disgusting than how judgemental you are. "My gaming" indeed. Over entitled much?

Nobody is suggesting everyone could, or should "go purely&...

That was a very good post at showing either a) what a lame sense of humour you have or b) that you're an ignorant douche. I guess they aren't both mutually exclusive.

Also kind of proves the need for a discussion.

Writing one's opinion on their own platform is not lecturing you. You don't have to read it.

Oh well, regardless of how much you care about anyone's rights in video games, your view is no more valid than th...

"It's time to talk about transgenders in video games"

"NO IT ISN'T" *then proceeds to talk for pages about transgender representation in video games.*

Err, mission accomplished, guys?

Pintheshadows: not because they disagree with me, no.. because they frequently have no comprehension of nuance, are often completely lacking empathy, can't handle others having different opinions. Then they go out of their way to belittle or insult. And call the other side out for doing usually the same thing they are.

I should have specified the wider gaming public. I know the average person doesn't give a crap, and rightly so. :)

And no I didn&#...
