Unexpected.. would be interesting if they decide to keep the 3DS line around for years and just make it cheaper over time. I'd like to see the Switch become the main Nintendo handheld too but maybe there's space for both, with cross-platform versions of key titles.
The speccy was a great machine, but this list is a bit weird. A few of these were (inferior) ports. Elite was a BBC Micro game that got ported to the Spectrum so you can't really "trace it back" to the Speccy, likewise the football managers - of course everything that could conceivably be ported to the Speccy was - as it had such a big user base.. but turbo esprit was also on the c64 and Amstrad CPC and those versions were likely better too.

They can be a genius in one way not in others, that's kind of standard for geniuses. :)
Games = toys. There's nothing inherently better about uncharted or Halo than, say, Mario or Zelda. You don't need grit and mature themes to have content that is meaningful to people of all ages.

I too would like to see more variety of titles, And they'll come in time like other generations.
Can see what he's getting at. It wouldn't do any harm to have occasional characters who either just aren't into you or are in pre-existing relationships.
But there's something to be said for being able to date everyone too. The dating game side of Persona is a big deal, I'm not sure I'd change much. It's one of my favourite parts of the game tbh, and wracking your brain over relationship choices is fun.

I've seen some, not all.. And I think it's different but not bad. If they only tried to appeal to the most hardcore fans who watched the earliest eps it wouldn't likely be sustainable. Even that might not work with nostalgia etc.. revisiting things is difficult.
Like Doctor Who since the 2000s return.. it's different but still fine on its own merits.

In a tight team based game where it relies on good team comms I wouldn't mute someone if I found them annoying - especially if they just explained why (had almost all his teeth removed? Doesn't sound much fun.), and was still playing well.
