Haha, a story that basically amounts to "LOD is a thing!" Well, yes! And most games have been using variable LOD models it for well over a decade.
Pretty funny. :D
Markiplier and Pewds aren't that different, and they're signed with the same network..
I like markiplier too, though.
All I can think of is marathon when I look at Halo. :P
Bungie have a style.
It'll just be another marketplace for oculus optimised content.. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. :)
Add that to the App Store, GOG, green man, steam, origin, UPlay etc.. But a bad idea to have one that only sticks the content you actually want.
@BillMadeAGate No, have you ever owned a Sony 55" 4k TV?
As if owning something makes one uniquely qualified.
Sony TVs are very highly regarded when it comes to things like picture quality.
Picture quality is kinda important. More important than half the crap people argue about on here anyway.
It's sort of plateaud already.. I cant see how X could be any more violent than 9.
It seems more comical than anything though, especially in random perk fights where one of you has no arms etc.. Its gone way past gritty and into Slapstick madness, which I like.:) the bone breaking animations are so dumb too.. Repeatedly smashing bones but then them not being smashed in gameplay is bizarre.
That's a new one. How could you even slightly consider him a fake gamer when he goes out of his way to play an obscenely large number of different genres.
He's obviously been gaming a long time.
What, pray tell do you consider a "developed" sense of humour then?
Well, yeah from everything we've seen so far I agree. I have some faith it'll get more interesting, but they should've been showing good gameplay at the earliest opportunity.
It's no fault but their own that in gameplay terms it looks like super generic cinematic cover shooter #32
"Nine video games that get gay representations right." would have been a much more sensible headline, though it might not have got as many clicks.
It's mostly the headline that's borked though. Within the article the section in question is titled. "Below, we call out nine video games that get gay representations right." - which makes a lot more sense.
Hmm, is this white console the new serial number? Didn't whats-his-name the expert guy come and say that would definitely not be the case and there'd have to be some sort of internal change for this sort of code change?
Oh well! I love the white. They should do a Star-Wars Battlefront bundle when that comes out too, as it looks very storm-trooper-ish. :D
It's a shame the article is talking about the exact opposite thing..
Game to film conversions..
Which Edge Of Tomorrow isn't even one of them, so I guess it's all fair game lol. The Lion King was good on 16bit platforms too!
Lord_Sloth - EoT was originally a illustrated novel.. The film is supposedly much closer to the novel than it is close to the manga adaptation.
But that was a movie (related) video game, not a video game movie..
And this is barely even that.. It's more of a video-game-ish movie. :)
Dragonknight: So you're one of those people who's argue that men are "objectified" in games in a similar way to women? Guys don't complain about that as it very rarely happens (in games). And even when it does, it's a small fraction of the wider male portrayal in our medium. The difference between a power fantasy and a sexual/sensual one are clear. You know this. I've seen your rants on this topic before. You have some unusual takes on some of the issues at hand....
... That is something I never thought I'd read. XD
Dragonknight: Who? People? "Who" brings up the female side? What a bizarre question. You want me to give names? Psychologists, councellors, media commentators, random folk on the internet.
Just a quick google search will find hundreds of articles about negative male body image. https://www.google.co.uk/we...
LOD models are used in almost all games. If the camera pans out so much that you wouldn't be able to see the extra polygons, it always makes sense to swap out the model for one with less poly's and texture detail. It's common practice industry-wide and means we get a lot more performance out of games.
In cutscenes it just shows the highest LOD.. Most games switch between them on the fly.
