^ Man an FF6 remake will seriously make me break down into tears. It's perhaps my most beloved video game ever.
It looks great. But there's no HDR lighting to be found. There's not even real-time shadowing on the characters.
It has some pretty good animations though. I dig it.
I'm thinking the most developers are having a hard time with the Split Ram. Sure it's 256mb of XDR RAM that is faster, but it's still split. While the 360 has the 512mb of RAM all packed into one. But there are other advantages in the PS3's hardware.

Yup, it seems like everything keeps repeating itself over and over again. I still don't get why these arguments still pop up.
I mean it's understandable like you said if it was in 2006. But it's already been almost two years and the PS3 has already proven itself if the developer sit down and optimize it, they can get great results.

Sony will drop the price to $349 by next year. The 360 will get more sales from the $50 price cut. And Nintendo will annouce a Wii-2 at E3 2009.

It's funny because this is all actually pretty old information since the release of the PS3. It's just certain someones who keep denying it, and absolutely have no idea what XDR memory is.

However people need to forget, that just because the PS3 has this or that. It doesn't make the 360 any less powerful. I mean look at games like Gears of War... And Gears of War 2. And... Umm...
You guys are talking about percentage of what it actually is, it really doesn't matter. Because even if it's just 40 consoles, or 4000 consoles sold. It's still sold out everywhere.
My friend who kept waiting for this bundle didn't think it would sell out so quickly. Now he's $500 richer and without a PS3 lol.

It's a possibility. And heck, if Microsoft was smart. They'd jump on it and that title alone will help the 360 start dominating Japan.
However, given Tetsuya Nomura's previous comments about the PS3 being his platform of choice. I would think he had some say in which console it should be on.

Interesting article. Of course extra RAM will help PS3 games and it's developement. But again like many have posted, games like GT5, MGS4, Killzone 2, and even Ratchet & Clank future are already pushing the bar in graphics.
But then again, those games have great graphics. Maybe more RAM would have made them better? Maybe GT5P would have been 1920x1080? Maybe MGS4 would have been 1280x720? Maybe even Killzone 2 could have been 1920x1080? The possibility is obviously a black h...
