Never been a huge fighter fan, but might... just might... be tempted. Good job GZ.
I've never even heard of this game. Really have to move from beneath that rock where I've been living.
*hangs head in shame*
Quite enjoyed the first game, will be keeping half an eye on the sequel. Looks decent so far.
For starters, there's no such thing as 'excessive' realism, there's only evolving technology that increases levels of realism as a result of improving game engines and more processing power.
To answer the article's question: No, excessive realism doesn't kill gameplay, bad game design kills gameplay. Simple. End of.
Interesting read, but then I would say that. :)
I'm sure it's a great game, but I never got what all the fuss was about with the Megaman series.
Good old EA, beatin' the cash cow. I already have FIFA 10, don't need this.
Wow this series is getting tired. Big fat 'Meh' from me.
Enjoyed the first game, but it got a little 'rinse and repeat' too quickly. This one looks more polished and the demo was pretty cool. Add in GZ's score, and I'm willing to give it a go.
Soooo meh. Good -- if not somewhat sleepy sounding -- GZ coverage though.
Loved the idea of the PSP, but I never played mine beyond reviewing. Sold it a loooong time ago. Can honestly say I don't miss it.
yep... or not bothered at all. One thing worse than a flat-out crappy game is a potentially decent game that gets half-baked.
Damn, I wish Rare would return to a state of greatness. Such a shame.
"set in a... pre-apocalyptic, war-torn World War II alternate reality..."
Sorry for nitpicking on an otherwise interesting opinion piece, but which impending 'apocalypse' is the author referring to?
Also, World War II ended in 1945, BioShock 2 is set in 1968 -- eight years after events in the original game.
What? They're still making games for the PSP. Yuck Yuck.
As for the Metal Slug XX, I think I'll be givin' it a miss.
Interesting, one to keep an eye on.
Yeah, I loved Crackdown. It was much more fun to play than GTA IV.
Soooo looking forward to Conviction. It really is turning out to be a great year for videogames (and it's only March!)
I cam down on the side of Fight Night 4 last time around. If the animation has really been improved on the new UFC, I'd be willing to bloody my knuckles.
