Don't quite understand why so many people are 'passing' on Yakuza 4. I thought the third game was pretty impressive. Kind of Shenmue but with proper action, a decent story, no time restrictions, and no questionable homoerotic search for sailors.
What's not to like?
Looks cool. Isn't this the one with the actors from Mad Men providing character voices? Or am I getting that totally wrong?
"disappointing" indeed. Kinda sums up the Wii's overall software portfolio.
Intrigued. Really tempted to reactivate my Gold account for this one.
Playing safe. Simple.
The world is already saturated by the DS, DS lite, DSi, DSi XL.
Even though the 3DS is likely to sell by the bucketload, its release is something of a risk given the tech and the fact that everyone and their monkey already owns a DS console.
I don't blame Nintendo for listing a lot of familiarity via remakes and ports. Provides a point of reference for gamers to compare the 3D delivery to I suppose.
...
Arrgh. Come on, Apple. Drop the iPad's price and let me in.
Half-hearted effort. And why bother in the same year as Bayonetta? Far superior in every way.
Cheesy show, cheesy game. No big surprise it's a bit of a 'meh' title.
Don't care a jot about Microsoft Points, I dumped Live in favour of PSN years ago. Much better value all round via Sony's service imho.
Well, while we're shamelessly tooting our own horns (all the listed pieces are from one site, I note), my editorials on Play.tm have been similarly overlooked by the gaming masses.
Boo and, indeed, hoo.
Some of us don't write for plaudits.
Ar-harr. It's a pirate's life for me. Woof.
Solid review GZ.
Personally, I've never been tempted by golf games. Not likely to start now.
I think that, of all the sports categories, golf feels like the one everyone can have fun with because it's fairly simple, but it's always been the one I least connect with... I think due to its simplicity and lack of atmosphere.
Whereas, I hate the likes of basketball, boxing and American football as actual sports, but love playing them as videogames because they'...
Hmm, not sure I can be swayed by this one.
Sounds better than TimeShift, which I thought was okay. So I'm all the way in. To the hilt.
Shame the FREE DLC isn't going down so well.
Also, for those bemoaning the DLC as not free considering the game's $60 price tag and the possibility of such 'extra' content being held back on purpose.
There's a marked difference between spending $60 on a six-hour shooter only to be stung by fee-based DLC map packs -- and a 40-hour sandbox adventure that leaves you wanting more... which ya then get for nothing.
inXile don't exactly have a superb portfolio to back 'em up, but the game does look pretty impressive... and Bethesda isn't exactly in the habit of publishing duds.
Keepin' an eye on Hunted.
Retro Sonic on the iPhone is probably the only way I'm prepared to stomach Sega's continually disappointing hedgehog these days.
;)
Really loved Shift. Here's hoping Hot Pursuit cuts the cheese and not the mustard.
Would be awesome if it had pangs of 'Chase HQ' mixed in there.
Sorry Jim, you're so wrong it's simply "an awful, awful thing to comprehend."
I think it's just plain odd.
