Yeah, because custom soundtracks are such an integral part of the racing experience where gameplay is concerned.
Don't know about everyone else, but I always purchase my games based on whether they offer custom soundtracks... to hell with the actual core in-game features.
Personally, I've been avoiding any and all info on GT5 for months, so crumbling to temptation and actually reading up via this article gave me exactly what I wanted in terms of ...
Huh, like another MAG?
My anti-MMO stance is being truly tested at the moment. APB, DC Universe... and now the Agency.
Must... fight... temptation...
Okay, I'll be the first to say it:
"It looks good, for a Wii game."
Why it's not coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 is beyond me.
I can't help but feel that Epic Mickey will die a lonely death on Wii, despite its obvious qualities.
Never been a huge fan of the series. Sadly don't see this changing my opinion. Solid coverage though GZ.
People really should stop bitching about the design changes.
Come on, they're aesthetic alterations. As long as the gameplay appeal remains the same, who cares if Cole looks or sounds a bit different.
I for one thought the main failing of inFamous was that it looked -- and sounded -- rough around the edges. Seems to me that inFamous 2 deals with that issue.
Overall, I'm fine with it.
I just hope Sucker Punch...
Have to disagree with everyone here. I thought RF:G was a sandbox thrill ride from start to finish. I'm hoping RF:A is more of the same, just on a grander scale.
Generally not interested in MMOs, but gotta say, this one -- along with APB -- is tickling the temptation gland.
Will be keeping an eye on this one.
The big reveal at E3 was a tad under whelming - but then the aesthetics and gameplay were clearly indicative of early-stage development.
Lots more polish and appeal to come, I'd say.
Twisted Metal could be a huge push for the PS3's online presence.
A message just coming through for pre-pubescent teenagers on the wire... it reads:
'Grow Stop Up Stop'
Yes they're pretty, but Booth Babes and the reactions to them tend to define a gamer stereotype that holds the industry back from being acknowledged as truly mainstream.
Ack, who am I kiddin'... They were more appealing than some of the games at this year's E3.
lol
Even Portal 2 wasn't that suprising. We all knew it was coming for Xbox and PC, it was just pleasantly surprising to see Gabe Newell announce it for PS3 too.
Other than that, I think E3 was generally a disappointment where genuine surprises are concerned.
Even Jaffe's unveiling of Twisted Metal was a letdown.
I'm certainly interested in where LBP2 is going, but have to say Media Molecule really needs to make the toolset and creation system much more user friendly than it was in the original game.
If they do, I think LBP2 could be huge given its scope.
I totally agree about return longevity with certain games. However, for me, I rarely get time to return and play again with most titles because my whorish ways demand new, new, new!
Jury is out on Natal... ever since they removed the processor and instead chose to have the tech drain on the 360's resources.
I'm becoming more and more inquisitive about the Move.
Solid score, but I'm sooooo done with Rock Band and Guitar Hero games.
Ha... new franchises? Good luck with that.
Resting on its software laurels by endlessly recycling its major properties is one of Nintendo's strongest (weakest?) points.
It'll be Zelda and precious little else at E3. Grown men WILL cry at the prospect of playing the same adventure all over again.
Oh, maybe Nintendo will finally showcase the amazing Vitality Sensor.
Be still my beating heart.
For me, I'm guilty of actually having bought older PS3 games on the cheap thinking I'm getting a bargain (i.e., NHL 09, Racedriver: Grid), only to leave them unplayed for months upon discovering they don't have Trophies.
Meanwhile, I'll often target cut-price dross (i.e., Dark Void) for the quick attainment of easy Trophy progression.
Tis pathetic... but I do it. That said, addiction aside, I've thus far stopped short of Trophy-whori...
It certainly doesn't 'equal' realism in the strictest sense of the word, but it would be churlish to ignore the fact that profanity is a day-to-day element of most people's lives.
As such, cursing adds to a game's realism -- but only if the surrounding gameplay warrants it.
For example, gritty GTA titles trading on a sense of real-world authenticity would be oddly dull without 'colourful language' while I really wouldn't ...
Maybe, but try as I might, I just can't get into a 'casual' frame of mind.
Hmm. Red Faction: Dead Space (The Doom 3 Edition)
Forget about racing The Stig's times in muscles cars, the question most of us want to know is:
Will GT5 offer up the possibility to use the crappy Liana and Lacetti (or even the new Chevrolet Cruze) in order to beat times set by the show's star guests?
And will the game provide an online leaderboard of said times that updates alongside the show?
