For the people below highlighting the violent games that shouldn't be played by kids, you obviously don't have kids of your own.
Parents buy COD, Battlefield, Resi etc for their children and don't give it a second thought. They think they are 'just' games. If they actually sat down and checked whats on the screen, maybe they wouldn't buy...
PC gamers don't just use steam to play games. I have origin too plus I still buy the odd physical copy (getting harder to find I must admit).
Besides, if I wanted a pc to be a game machine only, I wouldn't bother with a pc, I'd just get a console. Instead I make use of all the other features that windows has to offer. I know dual booting is an option, but this isn't what most people will consider when wanting to play games. I for one don't see steam OS bec...

Its like the super rich being told they are wonderful people because they donate millions of their own money to charity. While normal everyday people like myself, give nowhere near the same amount of money, but I dare say its a greater percentage of my little income.

Why buy the system at launch if you have no desire to play the launch titles?
Plus if you have the money to buy it at launch, then you'll still have the money several months down the line when better games hopefully emerge. Then if they don't, you can spend it on something better.

Sony focusing on the games is just the crap Sony wants buyers to believe.
