It was pulled from being bundled at the last second before E3. This is the only reason PS4 came out cheaper. You might say its a win for choice. i say its more like a missed opportunity for Sony.
Even if you buy it, developers will only treat it as a fluffy, optional extra for a few quiz, family type games which few people give a shit about. Kinect on the other hand, will see more innovative uses simply because developers can count on it being there under each tv.

Its ok to have a preference about which console you want or like. I prefer Xbox which I think comes through clearly from most of my posts. Thats only come from being able to chat across multiplayer games with friends much easier. I do own a PS3 and I've enjoyed playing the exclusives on it too. Life's too short to hate. Well as most Sony lovers would have us know, Sony is hardware while MS is software. (Which is utter crap as MS has being making hardware for chuffing years, good or bad)
Anyway, now that both systems are out, there is nothing that can be done hardware side. Only the software OS and tools can be refined or rewrote. If somebody had such an important fault with their XB1, first they would have contacted the seller where it was bought from. The sellers, which are usually large retailers, would have been onto MS the very next minute to let them know.

I always thought MS got into the console business to try and beat Sony and Nintendo at their own game.
During the life span of the original xbox and a fair chunk of the 360, I think they were giving it a really good shot.
However they, and Sony, saw the success Ninty was having with its motion controllers and thought they wanted a piece of that pie. I'm pleased...
The novelty of kinect1 wore off quick for a very simple reason. It was total crap. Move was also sh!te. Looked like a glow-in-the-dark dildo. Only wii had it right because it was designed for motion play from the ground up. Kinect was nothing more than a tack on piece of hardware.
The bonus of kinect2 is its with every system and it finally is a decent bit of kit, unlike the lag fest of the first. Developers know it will be with every system, so now it begins. Devs are clever...
