If this true, I'll do a repeat on what I did this gen. Go PC gaming for the first few years alongside handheld, then buy the next gen consoles. (2007-2010=PC(Desktop and laptop)+PSP; 2010-present=PC(desktop)+PS3+3 60+Vita?)
For MS, as long as I see graphical upgrades, no RROD, I'll buy it 2 years after launch.

Hirai already mentioned that the gaming and camera division would be their core competency as well as their TV. Their cost cutting would be on their mobile and TV divisions. Handhelds are now a niche market. Their target are gamers who like something more. Apples has a different market. They are aiming for mass market. I have idevices with me because I like the synergy and their brand equity is top of the market ( Apple products are status symbols) Sony has dwindling brand equity...

off topic: I borrowed the ps vita of my friend and played uncharted on it. Its great and comparable to uncharted 1. The UI is good. I think its intuitive enough and it looks good to me.
