The 7670 is just a rehashed 6670 which is part of the Norther Island GPU. The 6670 is alo the rumored GPu of the Nextbox. Probably some early dev kits though.
Tablets and smartphones will also be for tech geeks and nerds flaunting their specs. See, I can do it too.
Rumors from the same site regarding the "Ps4 and 720". They just beat Kotaku on the rumor mill.
Still, this year's E3 and TGS would be exciting (Wii U and perhaps teaser from MS and Sony?). 2013's E3 would be immense.
Then make your next game bleed PC tech. Also, add multi-monitor support from the ground up and not tack on (^^).
I read that theory. That info was blatantly false and was full of fanboyism if you read it. His site is all full of fanboyism.
That is capitalism at work. Sooner or later, Chinese workers would demand higher pay and companies would move on to another country.
Its inconclusive. The two gpus are not in a crossfire setup. (i.e. Two Gpu's work in the same application such as video games) From what I can deduce from the rumors, the two GPU's powers different functions of the console.
The Orbis rumor does not specify which Southern Island GPU they are going with. It could be the 7970(high end), 7870 or the 7770 (low end). The same goes for Durango.
In the end there two scenarios MS console would cost more because ...
Hmm, two gpu's? I wonder what kind of design it is if this rumor is true. The heat it will generate would be @@. Let us say I don't want a RROD fiasco again.
Edit: The rumors about this and the Orbis are coming from devkits (assuming they are true). Dev kits have different specs and may have restrictions put into place so the final product would be vastly different in terms of what kind of cpu, gpu and amount of ram. The basic functions such as the blu ray and the k...
They will probably show some teaser video. I think MS has a higher probability to show something in E3. Sony has TGS as an another option.
Some names from FF series would be weird. Hmm, screw it, Im gonna name my future children based on old FF characters.
In reards to skyrim part of your comment I agree, I think many years from now, I will forget about it and move on to the next game. Some JRPGS's leave a big impression on me storywise such as final Fantasy, Xenogears and some of the Tales series.
The BC compatibility would be hard to implement because of the architecture of both the CPU and GPU if they would go to the AMD route (Especially the CPU). This would only happen if they put the PS3 hardware on the Orbis. That would add cost. Well, the vita has a PSP emulator in it and has PS1 support coming so there is still hope.
Wow, laptops can be connected to TVs ages ago and they offer the full plethora of PC games (of course a decent and not an overprice laptops such as macbooks). Before tablets eat specialized hadware, they should beat laptops in terms of functions and performance.
Having different platforms is great. PC+consoles (1 or 2 would suffice)+ handhelds (1 would suffice) and add some iOS/Android games and I found myself enjoying gaming more.
PC has RTS and those eyecandy games. Consoles have exclusives and those JRPGS. Handhelds offer great mobile games while iOS/Droids offer quick fun games (though handhelds are much better). Luckily I have Wii emulation so I sorta have all platforms right now.
This contradicted with Hirai Statement a while ago regarding digital distribution. It also contradicts yoshida's regarding the future of PS wherein he said that the broadband network of many countries are not up to par with present technology yet.
and the Xbox will be named Durango. Orbis vs Durango fanboy war.
Well, they were trying to kill PCs for over a decade now. Tablets must kill laptops first before it can kill specialized hardware. Right now, laptops are more productive in so many areas. Macbook>Ipad
I think the rumor stems from the patent by Kutaragi back then during the PS3 era.
Rumor are rumors. Durango and Orbis have this rumor. If the Wii U would not block used games then the two will follow Nintendo.
Heck, the rumors comes from Kotaku and the usual reliable source that I cannot named BS.
I understand the difficulty of PS3 BC on the next gen console. The RSX and the Cell is difficult to emulate. Having a high end desktop, emulation is possible only up to Wii games. So imagine how much power it needs to emulate the PS3 games. Of course, there is a solution for this and that is putting ps3 hardware on the "orbis". TO ensure full BC, they need to add the customize RSX AND the CELL in the "orbis".
For the used game restriction, just like the &...
The problem is, some rumors which have sources might based it off on dev kits. Dev kits are not the Final hardware and the final specs are much different and usually more powerful.
The durango, orbis may have a 6670 now but it may come out with a 7850. Nintendo is silent with the specs and they are releasing it this year. Just wait for official announcements.
