theres no way WiiU will launch under $300. the controler alone has to be around $100. Nintendo is still undecided on whether or not to sell them individually, so they have to be expensive. however, i will pay the money if the games are there.
my point is that Nintendo has been making video games and consoles since we were all in diapers. theyre not going anywhere, they never lose money on their products. vita will sell, but not as well as the PS3, it wont even phase the big N.

Whatever price that they choose for the WiiU i have a hard time believing that Nintendo will sell a home console at a loss. Nintendo wont sell the WiiU cheaper than what it cost to make.
All they need to focus on now is making the WiiU worth the money. If the quality titles are there, then people will pay the 300 plus dollars. Personally i dont think that Pikmin 3 alone can carry the WiiU at launch. Theyre gonna need another first party powerhouse.

I have mixed feelings about this arguement. First off, $250 is WAY too much for a handheld... i dont care what the hell it does. I wasnt even considering a 3DS before the price drop (now i will most certainly get one).

Well you called it, $80 price drop already. But dont think that Nintendo dropped the price just to see the smile on your face. The 3DS is sinking fast, and Nintendo knows it. With hardly any quality games on the shelf (i still love you Ocarina of Time), and Vita just around the corner, Nintendo just SAVED the 3DS from an early grave.

Oh its a great thing, no doubt. But lets just be honest with ourselves. If the 3DS was actually SELLING then there would be no price drop. Nintendo will sell the WiiU at whatever price that they think people will pay for it. If they thought that you'd actually pay a thousand dollars for it, then the price would be $999.99. Its just smart business.
The best thing about this price drop is... my second Wii U controller just got $80 cheaper!!!
Im disappointed, but not surprised. Majora's Mask has never really gotten the credit that it deserves. Its a game that is easy to dismiss, however, impossible to stop playing once you give it a chance. I beat it for the very first time 2 years ago, and fell head over heels in love. It is the best game that i never bought on the N64. Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time are easily the two greatest Zelda games ever made.

I think that it is a mistake not to release an official timeline in some form. What better way to help sell all those Zelda ports/remakes, and celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Im a proud Nintendo fanboy, but, im happy to see the 3DS fail initially. Ill never forget the look on my girlfriend's face when she took her new pink DSi out of the box. Ill also never forget the look she gave me a month or so later when Nintendo announced the 3DS.
Nintendo got a taste of their own medicine with this one. Im glad that theyre the ones that are losing the money this time around, and not their fans.

Ive heard that the Vita will be have options to play SOME Playstation 3 games, but not all. Its not a controller. Its another crappy Sony handheld thats gonna get its butt kicked.
