E3 is a press conference, nothing more. Now, did Nintendo have a bad press conference? Yes, it was bad. And... that is pretty much it. All of their reviews from the floor itself were actually quite good.

This is just so painful to accept, however, I do appreciate the fact that Sakurai is being truthful about development length. You cannot help but respect his professionalism. Sakurai won't be rushed by Nintendo, or their fans. However, had this news came from Reggie or Iwata... people would all be foaming at the mouth.

I definitely did not expect him to say Super Mario Bros. 2. That is actually my least favorite of the series.
My two favorites right now are Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3.

I thought the exact same thing at first, no kidding, and I am a HUGE Nintendo Fanboy.
Zombies are not "my cup of tea" either, however, it is far from generic: 1 Life (no health bar), random spawns, die = track down previous player to get inventory, etc..
It might not be Killer right now, but it has Killer potential.
