If they consider natal as a new console, they could use the same business model and sell natal at a loss.
Pricing for natal should be around 60 including some mini games.
If Microsoft wants all possible support for Natal they will need to make natal a standard for xbox 360 they can't do that with a high price.

One thing they also need to address is the noise the xbox 360 makes.
By using a more silent disc player and something like a ionic cooling mechanism.
About blue ray it they will need a better format for their games (especially 3d games) but I doubt they will got for blue ray.
Since it is Microsoft it is more likely they will go for the holographic disc if it is still on track for mass production in 2011/2012.

If it becommes a hit and only if it becomes a hit, it might revolutionize motion controll.
The biggest revolution I see for now is that you will never need to look for your remote controller, the dream of many laisy people.
But if they succesfully manage to get rid of buttons and controllers that could be accounted as a revolution. That said the motion controll revolution was started by Nintendo, lets see if Microsft can take it a step further.

Launching natal is the most ideal time to launch a new xbox 360 sku, adjusted to their more download approach. With the ability to install games and download full games Microsoft will need an console with a large (cheaper) hard-drive.

Lame ps3 has been very succesfull for sony in seccurring a new disc format plus,I do assume no numbers to proof it, that the ps3 is also boosting Hdtv (sony brand) sales.
But considering their install base of ps2 it's a shame sony won't release their motion controller for the ps2 (or would they)
They should just drop the price by 100$ and 100€ , too at least clear their stocks before they launch a slim ps3.
I know the exchange rates are different but If the the normal cost for a ps4 in europe is about 400€ compared to 400$ in the us.
Don't think the ps3 slim will be any cheaper, but wonder how big the hard drive will be.

Kinda interested in kodu, assuming that you will need to own this editor to access the created content (games) the success will most definitely stand or fall by the created content.

The succes of natal will depend on the cost of the hardware and the software supporting it.
The cost issue might not be a big problem if they are planning and are able to sell a large amount of natals. Which I guess Microsoft is aiming at since they are planning to launch the natal in a big way (as a new console). But I don't think they are planning to sell natalas a gameconsole at a lose.

True remembering the natal demo with the little boy, natal was mounted on top of the television.
But I do believe natal will be included with the new sku, that means in the box and not in the shell of the console.
Lose Lose situation, for sony, if MAG ends up being an great game and people end up buying it over COD, people will start saying by how COD on the xb360 outsold the ps3.
If ps3 owners start buying COD over MAG people will say that MAG failed.
If they can only do one trick, It is still a damn good trick.
