Simply because it allows for more creativity, this will ofcourse depend on the willingness of the developpers to spend time and sources on natal.
most importantly the software will need to be exceptional if they want to eliminate any potential lag.
One of my other concerncs with natal is definitely the accuracy.
Concerning the "gem" it has some similar problems like mentioned in the video that the camera will need to see the controller(s).
Find ...
Still not sure on natal, still I love new technical innovations and will propably be a day one purchase for me.
Not saying that if you throw enough money at something it will be awesome, though most of the time this approach seems to work, which might be the case with natal.
At the bare minimum I will not disregard natal before I have tried it.
Also sonys solution will be cheap? bassicly you have a controller + camera so can't be that cheap. And pleas...
But for Americans this would convert to 180.05$
The hackers actually already found a way to unban themself, if I remember correctly
Only watched the trailers wasn't that interested in the game awards.
Though I think a VGA for the gaming industrie isn't a bad thing. I got nothing against any other awards program, seems logical games would also have some kind of awards program.
Just seems to me the execution wasn't that well.
first impression from the trailer where not that good but after closer look of the trailer if everything is in game the game looks pretty damn good.
What too expect;
-bigger fights, large/huge open battle fields,
-finally more realistic vegetation, wind animations
-larger versions of pelicans with mounted machine gun and small jetengines,
-more character development/hopefully better story,
-4 player co-op, no master chief?, no more lone wolf/more tea...
If it's too easy just play it on a more difficult setting.
Though I loveNinja Gaiden, I think the depth of bayonetta's combat system is larger than ninja gaiden. This because the timing plays a much bigger role in the basic combat system not to forget "which time". Though I do agree the demo did not quite succeed in displaying the depth of the fighting system.
I noticed during training mode that if you want to perform a specific move you will need a specific tim...
Though they aren't all.
"12 year old trying to justify their or their mommy and daddy's console purchase"
Pretty sure that this description only is a small part of the fan boys.
If the first few months of 2010 are any indication.
Microsoft did play their cards wright in 2009 managing to sell quite a lot of consoles even though a lack of AAA exclusives compared to Sony, also not forgetting the publicity/awards for natal. Marketing natal to casual gamers in 2010 should be a breeze for the marketing guys at Microsoft.
Graphic wise 2010 will be the year of new engines and better graphics, : Crytek engine, Unreal engine, MTframework, alanwake/havo...
But in all fairness that sounds really awesome hope it is true
Seems like they can do pretty much the same as natal, wondering what the tech behind this. Thinking it's about the same as natal using an infrared camera.
Might be a law suit for them or the other way around.
If the press is any indication Natal is gonna be big, only not sure if hardcore gamers will like.
First part resembles Microsoft Surface, which also works with camera's.
Second part.... we probably all have seen the playstation eye doing more interesting stuff than that.
No 3-D motion capturing, so I don't really see any reason why to mention natal, they might as well said motion tech to stop Microsoft live vision camera or surface.
New IP's are important, but increasingly difficult to make since it almost feels like everything has been done before. Old stories always manage to dry up only games who managed to create and expand on their universe managed to have good sequels. Not to mention the costs and riks involved in creating new IP's.
That is one of the main reasons why I welcome the sony "wand"and microsoft "natal"since these add-ons (which they are) could provide a new platform for ...
It has received some good media attention. It offers a large amount of new possibilities and is supported by a large number of developpers.
Microsoft promised that they would treat the launch of natals the same way they would as the launch of a new console (game and media wise).
Also from what I have understood Microsoft will package natal with their xbox 360, if Sony won't do the same for their wand there won't be much competition (sales/install base wise).
red for me 2
Not up to date to the install base in Europe but ps3 seems to have an edge over the xbox 360 in Europe.
Also some friends of mine (in europe) bought their ps3 slim just to play Pes.
Hope it isn't a hardware platform just because of the price
Maybe Microsoft should make netflix available to silver members.
As long as the game lives up to it's hype a short development cycle is a good thing. Not all games need 6 years of development to play and look good.
