Any list made like this will have people that agree and people that don't agree. No need to look too deep into it. IMO, they left out a game that was very important to me at the time and re-charged my love of video games, OUT OF THIS WORLD, anyone remember that game. That game was pretty damn clever, and with that vague kind of survival storyline i have been wanting to see some sort of sequal to that open ended ending. I think for me it was the amount of thinking that went into it that really...
Why bother, just upgrade it yourself for far less money. I know, someone going to say "not everyone is tech savy enough to want to upgrade their own system", Well, hell then, find someone who is and still do it. Saves lot o' money, and you can have as much storage as your heart desires.
Now we can look forward to the "red screen of death"... ;)
Consoles will be around for a long, looooooong time. I can't stand PC gaming.
What i would like to see is these consoles (360 & PS3) stop trying to be mini-PCs or so called home entertainment hubs, and JUST BE DAMN GOOD AT PLAYING GAMES!!! Keep it simple!!
it is true aslo that although having HDMI is nice, i for one can absolutely agree that there is VERY little difference in detail over VGA or even component. Movies there is more of a difference that can be seen, but when i did a side by side with PS3 (HDMI vs Component) with games it really doesn't make me say, yeah thats the true selling point right there. The same will go for 360 elite, but i do think as game graphics progress in years, not months, it will make a bigger difference.
After a countdown, that was dissappointing. Need to see some game play footage.
Another potentially bad movie on its way, oh well. BUT, i could see this filmed the way they did "saving private ryan" where its all in your face and graphic realism. James cameron would be a good pick to direct this movie (ALIENS, Terminator).
I was a big TR fan of the first two, i just loved it. But just like many things, as the sequels kept going, i wasn't even interested anymore, the game play sucked, and every game had Lara in a corporate environment that was just boring!!
I played Legend, and i liked most of what the new developement team did. definitely don't like the ear chatter, highly annoying, glad they removed it.
those screen shots look so nice as well, now i am interested and i think i wil...
Just to add a comment to your comment on using the term "AAA" title. I guess i agree with what you were saying about the percentages of great games to crap games. i definitly agree on the comment of using "AAA" title status too often, but i guess somehow it works with the masses. From my point of view, and this is just me and a handful of friends, if you were to ask me what "AAA" titles i play, i always seem to say NONE. I really don't see any game as a "AAA...
My friends and i were just recently talking about a similar subject to this one. Yeah, all that "human" realism movement is cool with some characters, but sometimes too much realism kills it. For instance, i find with many sports games, the realistic movements are cool at times but overall, very unrealistic when performing moves that would require a great amount of agility in real life. i don't play sports often, but certain moves like jumping just look so unreal because of that se...
God of War was out long before Gears, so GoW was used first a while ago, not really copying. Gears of war "a much better game" ?, Well, since i have played both and think both games rock, i would have to say that they are too different to be just generally compared and it sounds a bit narrow minded to say one is just better than the other (graphics for Gears definitely, though). God of War has a much deeper and engrossing storyline by far, where gears storyline is as simple as they ...
i think this guy would be a good choice. i can see it, he could pull it off. Kratos has white ash on his body, he is more of a caucassion skinned person before the ash, BUT that doesn't bother me at all. Now i can say i am finally a little interested in the movie, but only a little so far, and this choice of actor is the only reason as of yet...
that i like the fact that they are trying a different online approach as opposed to Microsoft. IMO, even though it is an online environment being built by programmers etc, it will be the masses that will take hold of it and shape it, and it is in the multi-faceted appraoch of this "community" (home) that provides different people with different approaches in how to enjoy it. That is flexibility. And many ideas (such as myspace, flickr, etc) have proven that. but utilizing a 3d emmer...
if done like 300, that could be a step in the right direction. but just as important, it needs to be for mature audiences, not for kiddies. I am definitely glad i played his game, one of my all time favorites, as for a movie, though, rarely do the movie companies get what makes a game great, and think they can better an already great storyline. i understand it has to be adapted for the big screen but more times than not, they over do it. Plus, because it is a game, it always seems like they m...
this is just going to be another form of internet. I agree with jpod that it should be safe if you don't go in certain "homes". people will be putting explicit content and what not in their homes, and people WILL visit. it is the exact same thing as being on the internet, you'll be "safe" if you don't go to certain sites. i actually think this could potentially be worse, because it has a more "trojan horse" aspect to it for younger crowds. Let's face it, it is a ...
thanks deepbrown for the video!!
Pretty interesting, but i was bored with it by the end of the demo. The only thing i was really interested in was the "trophy" room. i can see myself enjoying that. But other than that, to be honest, i was not impressed, it does not seem slick enough or somehow doesn't seem at all that "next-gen" new. i know it hasn't been done before, but with the way most technology is going (smaller faster), i am not interested in seeing virtual figures walking around in these environme...
between this and Lair, if these games are half as good as they look, i may be getting another PS3 way before Chrsitmas.
Nice one guys!! i am hooked, in a Heavenly way...
Always likes to keep a tight leash on it's users.
