Forza games are bi-annual... Forza Motorsports isn't the same as Forza Horizon... Two different teams working on two completely different games...
You'll have to explain how a Forza horizon release will have an effect on how 'special' the next Forza Motorsport release feels. One is a console sim, the other is an open world arcade racer...
Welp, I'm expecting a wealth of unannounced games, since crackdown, scale bound, and Quantum Break are confirmed to be shown at gamescom instead of E3.
We know we'll see Halo, Forza, Gears, Fable, Gears and Tomb Raider. We're also likely to see The Division.
We know Rare is working on a secret project. But if Rare's project is the only surprise, I'd leave the show disappointed. They better have more surprises in store. Considering they ...

Too low to run at the currently required PC specs...but if oculus wanted to leverage the console market, which they are now being given access to, it would be nothing to create an api for lower performance specs...
Yes, but the xb1 is slowly becoming a PC. It will be running win10 and windows apps in the near future... I doubt it will be long before oculus apps are running natively...
My guess is that this is the first step of a long term plan... It allows MS to test the VR waters, without much risk. If VR takes off, there will likely be some drivers released in an xbox update to make oculus an official input device.
I see what you're saying. But the real news is the partnership... Oculus previously said they wouldn't be working with console manufacturers, now that has changed.
Considering xb1 will be running win10 with dx12 in the near future, it isn't much of a stretch to assume that oculus applications will run natively on xb1 in the future.
Why couldn't oculus be an input device for xb1?
A simple OS update with oculus drivers, and now it's an official input device...
Well it's an independent game , published independently, and it looks pretty neat...
Right. And ISPs are already tripping over themselves to find ways to throttle video streaming services because it 1) uses up a lot of bandwidth (and they refuse to add capacity and 2) they provide a disincentive to purchase cable TV.
Do you think ISPs will happily embrace a future where ALL game content is streamed? That would 100+ million more consumers using even more bandwidth to play games ... Which is another pastime that provides a disincentive to purchase cable TV... ...
Streaming won't replace local processing if ISPs have a say in it...
There's just too much data use needed to stream a game compared to downloading the game or installing a disc.
People are already using it... At its pretty darn good... Easily the best update they've had in a LOOOOONG time...
Yeah, I get why people are upset, but this certainly is not a deal breaker.... When you look at how games are shipped these days, halo5 will easily be on of the more feature complete releases in recent memories...
I mean, how can people sit here and whine about what we AREN'T getting, and completely gloss over all the awesome the things we are getting:
Controllable Fireteams (Blue Team baby!)
Return of Open Levels
Seamless Drop-in/Drop-Out co-op mu...
Seriously, a non issue. If you don't use kinect for voice commands, just double tap the guide button...
Strange. I remember when halo 2 launched millions of people played it for hours into the night... So many people failed to show up to school/work the next day...
Yes...
I understand that it's exciting to see what team Ico comes up with next... But until I see some gameplay, I think expectations need to be tempered. It's all been just a bunch of speculation since 2009..
What kind of game was the last guardian supposed to be? I remember the initial CG trailer, but I never had idea what the game would be like.
I can't get excited about something tha has shown 0 gameplay.
I'd really like to know where they are going with this. I'd love to see the novels in television. There so many juicy intersection story-lines, I think it would have mass appeal... I've read the first three books and got hooked. Now I'm nearly finished the kilo-five trilogy and its like Game of Thrones in space with all the political backstabbing. It's great stuff.
No it isn't.
I'm sorry, that's not falling out...
EA is a third party publisher. They make money selling games on all platforms. They don't need to "side with a winner" to make a profit. Their attatchment rates on each platform are nearly identical, so it really wouldn't matter to them, which console was in first place... Any unit they expected to get from Xbox, is simply being purchased on Playstation instead...
The "partnership" you...
That's BS, you can buy all the characters at once if you like... And the prices are fair...
They are demoing the games 2 months later... The fact that they are at gamescom instead of E3 doesn't rule out a 2016 release...
MS had previously treated gamescom like E3-repeat... Now they have exciting footage for that show as well...
The real question is whether or not the lack of Scalebound, QB, and Crackdown at e3 means MS will have more time for unannounced games or more of the same...
