Lol the math apparently isn't that simple to you. Microsoft and Sony both basically sold through all of the consoles they could produce.
It doesn't matter how many territories they launched in, it matters how many console they produce and ship.. Sony chose to ship 1 million consoles and sell them in 2 territories. MS shipped 1 million, and divided them among 13 territories. Neither company can sell more consoles than they can make.
Lol all but one of the games you've mentioned are old, and free on other platforms. Surely those don't justify buying a new next gen console.
I'm not here to criticize your purchase purchase, to each his own. But let's not pretend the ps4's launch is flawless.ps4 has higher quality ports than xb1, but Xb1 AAA games are reviewing better.
Well your right, but what I was getting at is that there is Kinect specific hardware inside of the xb1, and it's THAT hardware, that is driving up manufacturing costs. With the xbox 360, Kinect was an after thought... It took a software revision to provide the resources for Kinect features.
Removing the Kinect 2 camera from the box won't help console manufacturing costs, because they will still have to include the Kinect related hardware in the console.
I really doubt we'll ever see a kinect-less Xbox. This one is probably ditches the disk drive and goes all digital . I also wouldn't be surprised if it has full STB functionality, and will be subsidized by the cable companies.
The thing folks need to realize is that, unlike kinect1, much of what makes the kinect 2 fuction is found inside the box itself, not just in the camera/mic array. So taking the camera out of the box isn't going to magically drop manufacturin...
If I had no intentions of using Kinect, I wouldn't buy an xbox one. Some of the launch games are really good, but not so good that I would waste an extra $100.
Personally, I like the Kinect 2, so I'll be getting my money's worth.and I respect MS' decision to include it. But I don't see the logic in paying extra for something you won't use.
It was funny at first, but sheesh... where can a guy go to get actual news?
"Karam Elahi throws his OPINION out about how Microsoft COULD have known about the faulty optical drive issue"
in other words, pure speculation...
What half truths? The confusion stems from people making assumptions based on misleading headlines instead of reading the FAQs and articles.
It automatically the last five minutes of gameplay. It will create a 30second clip from that five minutes if you use the "xbox record that" command to capture a quick highlight. If you want to save a longer clip, you use the dvr app.
What's so funny? 30s is the clip you get with the "xbox record that" command.it's perfect for automatically capturing highlights. If you want the entire 5 min buffer, you just open the dvr app.
Awesome, there's a chance that non preorderers will be able to grab one..
That's a practice done when the items price fluctuates with demand. This isn't the case here. Console manufactures want to sell as many consoles as they possibly can, so they are working to manufacture them as quickly as possible. Otherwise, they are leaving money on the table. There is absolutely no benefit to not meeting demand, especially if your competition also has a hot item and they are getting them into the hands of customers.
Shit that's long... Not totally surprised thigh, it's booting 3 OS's... I won't be cold booting mine often anyway... then i wouldn't be able to take advantage of some of its neatest features.
Haha come on man, you can't go to a support forum and be surprised to find people in need of support.
Mountains out of mole hills. Rarely do publications do separate reviews for multi platform games. The ps4 version came out first, so that's what it was mostly reviewed on... the games are identical.
Yeah, MS has a some awesome launch window exclusives. I won't have had my fill with dead rising 3 and Forza by the time project spark comes out. then there will be titanfall and quantum break vying for my time. I yet don't know what to think about Sunset Overdrive or Fable Legends, but they look and sound promising. Then there's halo of course. I'm not sure why there's a sentiment that xbox doesn't have exclusives.
PS, upcoming multiplats, the division...
When was Ryse the most hypes xb1 exclusive? It was fighting (and apparently lost) an uphill battle since it was revealed at e3...
Xbox one doesn't have remote play as a standard because it doesn't have a dedicated mobile device. It's as simply as that.
But to say it doesn't have remote streaming is factually incorrect. But lacking a dedicated control method, it's only applied when practical. Project Sparks tablet functionality is a prime example of this.
Wait, so the guy who ruined DMC wants to lecture about going in the wrong direction? Does no one else see the irony?
Ahh, incoming the flurry of comments from people who don't understand the basics of supply and demand.
Until, consoles are readily available on the shelves at all major retailers, we won't bee able to get a clear picture of the sales race. At this time, Sony and MS will be fighting to keep up with demand. The number of territories supported means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if their aren't enough consoles to sell in that particular territory.
