So your reasoning is that LEGITIMATE journalists don't want to write about a rumor that isn't really solidly backed except by some decent-quality speculation? Just like a legitimate journalist should be doing?
That just sounds illogical to me, sorry.
"Don't they release a slim version about 4 or 5 years into the life of the system? "
Says who?
@1.9
I agree with you. Except the "where there is smoke there is fire part."
Smoke bombs! And SONY are some sneaky ninjas. Sometimes. Actually very rarely but whatever.
@1.11
I like that about SONY. Remember LBP? We saw it right when they started working on it, basically. Got to see the game evolve and grow up :P
And if you fall for hype trains then that's your own damn fault. Don't believe the media word for word. Reporting news isn't their only job... It's also to get attention.
The team behind it is working diligently on XIII. People gotta keep up with the news in between these junk articles.
Dang son this is the worst trolling I've seen all day! Step it up a notch man, you're embarrassing yourself.
Tinfoil hat gamer.
The Versus team has always had to help the XIII team. I bet that's all it is. They're scrambling to get XIII finished, and will work on Versus after that's done.
Then KH3!
TONS of D2 players are against respecs, believe it or not.
It was due in like June or July.
I'm expecting it to come around Blizzcon, so they can announce some D3 stuff, hype up D2 talk about other stuff. Blizzard knows a little about synergies, after all xD
That sounds like a very good wet dream right there

Linearity is sometimes the best thing about a game's story. To me, making choices mostly only means that'll I'll play the game a second time; just to see what happens though, not because it's just that great of a game.
@1.1
I generally only play single player, so it's not really worthless.
Only game I've recently played online skate 2. And that's because that's my bread and butter right there.
EDIT: Although, I've always loved the idea of a pokemon MMO. Running around in a full world finding pokemon and catching them. Billion dollar idea right there.
There isn't really THAT much time to develop it. They'd have to get the idea cleared, developed, polished, tested, and whatever else long before March to make sure it made the release on disc.
@2.3
It's not always the first that get remembered.
Like for instance, we give Edison praise for the light bulb. He did not invent it. He just made it much better and gave us a reason to praise it.
That's how people feel about Gears 2 and Halo 3. Nothing wrong with praising something when it's an improvement and currently the best at what it does (subjective statements, I know).
To FULLY describe it is impossible.
Yeah, you did just describe it though. Nothing amazing about that.
Just about EVERYBODY can relate to driving cars. And just about EVERYBODY buys GT games when they come out.
SO.... how do YOU define "niche," exactly?
Epic's connotation died with the internet's decision to spam the **** out of it.
Epic to me now means "pretty cool."
GT5 is waaaaaay beyond that.
But GT makes the best sales in Europe doesn't it? Why NOT announce one of Europe's favorite game's release dates at their convention?
@ 2.3
No, The Last Guardian was ;)
