The initial reveals were thoroughly disappointing to me. Some gameplay after that, as well as more on the setting and story got me really excited again.
Recently, however, there were lots of previews about the basic gunplay which were quite negative, so I really have to reserve judgement...
They should have something fresh to show this week, and hopefully the game has lots of variety in its gameplay.
The BEST way to deal with harassment xD
Why even mention gamergate here though ?
Most of their games played amazing, so thats not really an issue.
Crysis series was ahead of 90% of the other shooters out there in terms of gameplay. Don't know why people keep saying Only graphics no gameplay.
Look at multiple reviews of all the Crysis games. Crysis 3 was literally the only one which wasn't critically acclaimed. All the others got mostly fantastic scores, Crysis 1 and Warhead obviously being better liked than Crysis 2 (for good reason)

Thats not what the author did. He specifically said multiple times that the game feels amazing AND dangerous, enjoyable AND gruesome.
He doesn't enjoy the first person sex with the prostitute, because it is quite disturbing (more to do with the fact that it looks very uncanny)
He wasn't all happy when he committed a gruesome murder. There is that amazement, but at the same time it does feel quite repulsive.
Its the same thing with Hatred...

"We had these graphics since the ps3 actually. Still nothing close to that unreal 4 announcement. "
Errr...no, actually, no we didn't.
AC Unity is screwed up. Doesn't change the fact that its got some gorgeous visuals. I've played some of the best looking games on ps3 and
1. They aren't that good... The better looking ones are the exclusives - Uncarted 2 for example looked fantastic (as does The Last of Us)
2. They don'...
Some mobile games have a nice balance.
Real Racing 3 for example. Haven't payed a dime, but I've played for over 100 hours. Ofcourse, this is more due to the fact that the core game is amazing.
It can be a casual game for kids. Turn off all assists and traction control and turn on manual acceleration, and it immediately becomes more akin to GT, Forza, pCars. A watered down sim on mobiles basically. Amazing graphics, a fantastic physics system and incredible attentio...
I'm quite confident the story and setting will be very interesting. Story trailer got me excited. My concern is the gameplay design choices.
As for on par with Uncharted...purely in terms of visuals, I doubt it. I mean, it looks gorgeous, but Naughty Dog is... you know... Naughty Dog :D
I just hope they have good gameplay. Simulate gameplay rather than have contrived, artificial looking gameplay where braindead enemies continuously spawn and shoot.
Sections like the 'drag the wounded guy to safety' part in the demo really got me worried. That kind of stuff is stupid.3-4 people at a time spawning on rooftops and shooting you, while you drag a body slowly, using a pistol with your other hand, and one other character is shooting as well. It isn't r...
They've been saying all that because the demo they played was shitty in their opinion. Its that simple. Maybe RAD need to stop using that same demo which gets a bad rep everytime and show something else.
If I play a demo of a specifically chosen part and it isn't good, then ofcourse I'm not going to be too optimistic about the game.
Then everyone calls out the journalists and says "How can you judge based on a demo?" which is one of the stupidest que...
As a PC gamer (although I don't have a gaming PC right now), I know just how much better PC can be in many ways, one of them being graphics and fidelity. Theres always a significant difference, and hey, its what you get for investing in powerful hardware.
However, when it comes to high quality first party exclusives like these... and not just that. This is Naughty Dog. I was blown away by Uncarted 2 on PS3, and I know that when Uncharted 4 comes out, it will blow just ab...
Way to go, keep putting out unrelated arguments, changing the subject. If that makes you feel that Morpheus is superior :)
Maybe you'll learn to stop doing that eventually.
Its funny though, with Facebook invested in this, they'll probably end up with better tech at a better price. Oh, and the sdk for developement is completely open. Did you know that ? You probably did, but yeah this will turn into Facebook machine evil evil Sony save us.

They can't make it 1080p 60fps on PS4. They can probably make it 1080p, yes. Not 1080p and 60fps. They'll have to tap into a lot of some magical processing power for that.
I wouldn't worry too much. See, they wanted to avoid debate and therefore kept the PS4 version at 900p. As a result, the graphics will probably be better on PS4. Better textures, draw distances, lighting etc. These are things they don't have to explicitly state as a number, so they can do...
I don't understand, why are people calling downgrade for this ? The screenshots they showed were obviously from the PC version. (am I wrong though ? If so, please correct me, and ignore everything else I wrote :D )
How on earth do you expect the PS4 version to have the same quality
Yes, even the PC version will probably be downgraded. However, on consoles, this downgrade business is to be expected. They aren't that powerful - why people are comparing PC and PS...
It's also an incredibly fun to play, not to mention just mindboggling in terms of its fidelity.
Previews of The Order say that its gameplay in the demo is concerning. My concern is that they might not simulate enough. If enemies really spawn behind walls and come up shooting like they did in this demo, then thats going to suck so bad. Simulating realtime graphics is good. However you need to simulate much more to create a world that pulls the player in. Good examples of t...
I don't understand, everytime there's anything bad to do with gamergate you just say it isn't the real members. Hmmm, how about you apply the same logic you apply to everything, and accept the fact that there are idiots who also happen to be part of gamergate, and harass other people.
I don't really care for this whole debate anymore, although I do lean more towards supporting gamergate. However, I just get annoyed when everyone does this. Makes me want to support it l...
@Tomahawk Really ? You're saying thats the reason DC got bad reviews ? Looks like you're using that as a freepass to make yourself feel better about DC with relation to PCars. It makes no sense
Driveclub got crapped on for not having any 'soul', not being linear. That was merely a comparison to Forza Horizon 2, and as a game on the competing console at the same time, the open world certainly worked in Forza's favour. That's all it was, nothing more. The open wo...
Awesome. Really wanted this to happen. Watching currect gameplay builds shows a brilliant game, but a lot of rough edges as well. I want them to polish this to excellence.
Awesome. Looking at current gameplay builds on youtube, you can see there are lots of rough edges. They need to get things up to the level of polish that GT and Forza can boast. Polish will truly make the game shine. It's often the lack of the finishing touches that make a potentially 'amazing' game just 'great'
I am sooo happy about this. It already looks fantastic in so many ways. Take your time, iron out all those wrinkles and bring us the pure simulati...
Is Facebook tied to a particular gaming platform ?
No.
Thats what they don't want
