While you are maybe right (and funny), i hope it won't happen. Because if it does, the physical form of softwares as we know today may be completely unavailable anymore at that time.
Well i found it weird too when i played JRPG (FF7) for the first time. I have to wait for attack and i can't dodge enemies attack. I thought it was silly but i kept on playing.
Onimusha 1 - The first game to show the real feeling of slashing enemies.
DMC 1 - The pioneer of real 3D hack and slash game.
Ninja Gaiden 1 - Perfected it with fast and fluid movement combined with amazing design level.
God of War 1 - Gameplay & fluidity wasn't as good as Ninja Gaiden, but it had better story and cinematic sequence.
As long as it doesn't make a disinsentive for AAA single player development, i'll have no argument to counter that. Not that i don't want to try Gamepass, it's just i don't need it right now.
The titles you mentioned, they are decent alright, but before Sony put their exclusives titles on subscription service on day 1, i cannot say i feel secure trusting in gaming subscription service..... yet.
At least in Japan, the market has been shaped for the last 8 years with 3DS vs Mobile Game. They have already been distinguished.
Apple Arcade will make into Mobile Game category, not going to eat Nintendo's Market Share.
Good. Now i want to know what the developers of AAA titles (especially single player) will say about Videogame subscribing.
IMO. It's alright. You don't have to love ALL Sony's exclusives. Objectively they're all decent quality, but you have your own taste.
I expect a title for next-gen console
This time maybe not. Luminous engine was created to develop KH3 (before they switched to UE4) & FFXV, so there is a high chance this time it's not a mobile game.
Edit : the article mentioned AAA title anyway.
It's not a an option with 3DS because those options you mentioned aren't available at the same time. It's a revision after revision after revision.
I love Nintendo's portable but i swear i refuse to be an early adopter.
Because they don't want the older audiences feel bad or embarassed if they have to play it on easy mode or anything like that. It will hurt their feeling.
Whether true or not my opinion it doesn't matter. But one thing for sure, videogame is still a part of entertainment.
Someday you'll understand young man.
Because the old audiences are getting older. Have jobs, family, and other adult's tasks and obligation. They cannot play videogames like they used to. They just want to see the end of a saga without worrying anything else.
@Neonridr
You're so naive. I know this is inevitable. But this kind of service, once it proved to be successful, it will affect gaming industry as a whole.
You want proof? Mobile gaming business model already found on consoles and PC. DLC, MT, loot box, those are the examples.
So what's next? DMC VI timed exclusive on Stadia? I hope not.
Thanks. I'll try it later when my wife & kids are sleeping.
How so? It simplifies things. For me, the 1st console to buy is always Playstation, and the 2nd is Nintendo's portable, but now i have extra feature to access Xbox game library. Not that it's important but having an extra is always welcomed.
Can it be done by US$400 console on 2021/2022?
It's possible. If...Kojipro is bought by chinese conglomerate and offer hundreds of million dollars to Sony to buy back the copyright. Or maybe Epic itself buy Kojipro.
Rime. Is just an example before this case happen. The difference is Rime's developer buy back the copyright from Sony before the game was released.
Too much to say no.
My guess is, QD with Netease's money got license to make those games on PC. Sony, put a high price tag + maybe some royalty fee from sales. Then QD and Netease put those games on sale on Epic store, backed up by another Chinese conglomerate, Tencent. I won't be surprised if both Netease and Tencent are two different animals owned by the same investor(s).
Hey. You're cool. You're better than a few (yes, a few) PC gamers who, celebrated this news but don't plan to buy the game anyway.
This isn't because of hybrid design nor it is an evolution. This is because Nintendo finally utilize the minimum standard of HD graphic. Our eyes are already accustomed to HD. Even when 3DS was released i thought the graphic was not good enough. Not ugly, but just not good enough.
This is Nintendo we always know. Using one-step-behind technology like they always do. But the difference is the people's necessity to play HD quality Nintendo Games on handheld now fulfil...
