And that reminds me what is Tomonobu Itagaki (creator of Dead or Alive & modern Ninja Gaiden) is doing right now after leaving Tecmo and The Devil's Third's failure.
I fear it. 5 years from now if i want to play gamea like Tekken 7 or RDR require US$100/year.
Destruction on Crackdown 3 = Sea of Thieves's sea waves.
This game is soo americans. Shooter, bulky characters, online multipayer. It will sell well even if it's only 7/10.

No need to hurry for a PC port.
I think MS will take another route in business model. Gamepass & Streaming will be more important than ever.
Next-Gen won't be about who's selling more, but who's making more money.
With digital penetration, cloud, subscription, and mid-generation upgrade, the next 5-7 years is an uncharted territory.
Sony will always have strength in their exclusives, and Microsoft might sell a next-gen Xbox for US$199 with Gamepass subscription bundle.
You are a mobile gamer. You care. lol
And i hope this isn't the end of classic Dragon Quest

You watched him killed all the time. Now you can do it yourself.
You forgot Sony Music & Sony Pictures? They're American. And even Sony Interactive Entertainment, now it's not all Japan-centric.
Lazy business
I can't imagine Japan-exclusive for Xbox. They aren't that strong with Xbox Classic and with the second attempt with Xbox360 (great games) while i really appreciated it, it was not that successful. I suspect Phil is persuading JapanDev to release their games (niche but blockbuster like Persona, Yakuza, etc) for Xbox too or maybe something to strengthen Gamepass.
Maybe yes, maybe no. As of current generation every console has unique value for their customer :
1. Xbox = Exclusive games + BC
2. Playstation = Many great exclusive games
3. Switch = upcoming exclusive games + portability
The value is up to the customer. For me playing Yakuza is very very essential, but i don't have love for Forza while i admit Xbox's BC is somewhat interesting. Switch....Nintendo's console is always interesting, i'll get ...

There is NO such thing as "which...most consumer friendly?"
There is ONLY "which...suits you better?"

I imagine next year PS5 announcement + PS5 games (exclusives or not) that will excite & make me feel like a kid again.
