You really think that those resources wouldn't be allocated somewhere else within Sony's PlayStation sector if Home didn't even exist?
That whole "LEAVE HOME ALOOONE! IT'S A BETA!" argument is really flawed. It was in beta for over a year before this more recent "beta". Sony claims it's still called a beta because it's going to continue to evolve. MMO's also continue to evolve in a nearly never ending fashion. The only difference is that they drop the beta tag. It's beta in name only at this point.

I think it's complete garbage, and an utter waste of Sony's time, money, and manpower. That being said, there are always lots of people in there when I login to check out new additions. The only time I saw it with one or two other people on was during the closed beta in the wee hours of the morning.
Overrated isn't the same thing as suck. It's got a monster following, probably one of the biggest and most obnoxious in the gaming world. FF nubs and people who haven't even played the original game (thanks AC) rant and rave about how it's the best of the series. That's overrated.
They ADMITTEDLY hate Final Fantasy. They even reiterated that during the Final Fantasy XII review to make the 5 they gave it seem even more valuable.
Just release the damn thing already. Feels like I've been waiting forever for this game.
Yeah, pretty much. I still own it, and think it's great, but it's not even the best of the PS1 Final Fantasy's, let alone the whole series.
I want leaderboards, auto-sync, and a myriad of forum sigs.
