You don't fuck with the Jesus!
I'd love to get a portable, 3D version of Skyward Sword, but not at the expense of a brand new Zelda on 3DS.
I'm not a Christian, but I will say that Pokemon is evil. Those games are all about humans enslaving various creatures in small balls and only releasing them to fight for purposes of entertainment. Great stuff for kids, right?
The short answer is no. The long answer is noooooooooooooooo!
It all depends on how it's done. DLC can be a great way to extend the life of a game, but it's also abused by certain developers, especially Capcom. For example, having DLC available the same day a game is released, making you wonder why it wasn't just included in the full game; charging to unlock content that already on the disc; overcharging, etc. It's BS like that that gets people angry.
I agree Dark Souls is more difficult than Demon's Souls but not by that much.
Yes, single player in Dark Souls is very solid. Just be warned that it's harder than Demon's Souls even as a pyromancer.
A modern reboot of this series would be cool. The older games haven't aged too well, but aren't bad.
@DA_SHREDDER
"at least the virtual boy had games."
The Virtual Boy had a total of 14 games in its entire life span (in America). The 3DS launch line-up alone was more than that.
It could possibly be the last Nintendo console if it doesn't sell well, but it certainly won't be the last console in general.
Square should just refund anyone who purchased FF 14 and abandon this embarrassment so they can focus on other quality games that people want. They should also apologize for blatantly releasing a beta version of FF 14 as a finished product on unsuspecting fans. Removing the monthly subscription fee doesn't cut it.
I think most people seem to be against 3D gaming because most people don't have 3D televisions, and therefore can't utilize it. I'm all for having the option to play a game in 3D. Today's 3D isn't like the cheesy 3D of the 80s and 90s with the cheap blue and red glasses. Today's 3D tech is pretty impressive, and it's only getting better.
I missed out on this game back in the day for whatever reason, so I'm playing it for the first time now, and I'm enjoying it. It's worth the 4 bucks.
Porting to consoles can be very lucrative. It's too bad that wasn't the case for Braid, but that doesn't mean it's never worth a shot.
Wait, what? A positive opinion piece about the 3DS on N4G? What's going on?
I remember seeing a lot of positive reviews for this when it was released on DS. Is it really that good?
You're sick of all the Sony hate? If you want to see some real hate on this site, go to the Nintendo pages.
@Ult iMate
You're totally right. There are a number of flaws with the 3DS, but the biggest BY FAR was, and still is, the lack of quality games, especially at launch. But that'll change very soon.
The main problem with Nintendo is that they seem to operate in a bubble, unaware of what's going on around them in their own industry. The most frustrating thing about that is that their are countless examples of how to do things right that Nintendo is doing wrong. Nintendo needs to examine Sony, Microsoft and Apple, and they need to implement all the stuff that's working for those other companies like online, hardware design, online shops, etc.
