It's still nothing to get worried about for the Wii. They still have a substantial lead in JPN and are still selling like hotcakes in the other 2 regions. If sales were to slow in the other territories, that might be a cause for concern.

It is a good engine(when used properly and usually that's been only by Epic) but Crytek isn't a slouch either. I expect CryEngine 3 to compete well with UE3.5

"The game on the PlayStation 3 outsold the PlayStation 2 launch of Resident Evil 4 by 3.22 to 1"

Consider the install bases of each when RE4 vs RE5 released( I know the PS2 library was vastly larger than the current PS3 library)

Insomniac should be above Sony's first party devs, they've made 3 games in 3 years all looking noticeably better than the last, using a tweaked version of the same inhouse engine.

I think the engine that's progressed the most this gen is the MT framework from Capcom. Dead Rising, Lost Planet, DMC 4, RE5 all look noticeably better than the last game. After watching the teaser for LP2 I can say there will be another leap in graphics for the next game.

Edit: I forgot Street Fighter 4 as well, great graphics and use of art style

Hmm no prince of persia, no ratchet and clank, 1 too many super mario's, not a great list

The game is developed by Epic though, most outside devs utilizing UE3, the games are average in graphics at best(Bioshock is one of the rare exceptions). I just think the engine is overused.

Still? Isn't it time to start developing a new engine Epic? You guys are great devs but this engine is starting to show it's age.

They can't say supply problems anymore, those are looking like some bad numbers, still early in the year though and the Wii has a huge lead

The PS3 version doesnt lack AA, the reviews state it has more aliasing than the 360 version. The PS3 version uses 2xQAA while the 360 uses 4xMSAA, basically the blur you see in the PS3 version is a form of AA used by the PS3. 360 wins in AA and framerate(but with v sync off you do notice screen tearing more on the 360 version), 360 edges out the PS3 in this game but not enough to say the PS3 version shouldnt be bought.

Score may be on the low end though. However this game scoring the same as KZ2(lower than FEAR 2) is still unbelievable

Except that Killzone 2 fixed the feel of the controls with a patch(RE5 wont do it), the enemy AI is really good in KZ2, it's your friendly AI that is stupid. However I agree this review is a piece of crap, 9.5? KZ2 got an 8.75? really?

Killzone is already over 1 million in sales, I dont get how it's "struggling". It'll cross 2 million by the end of the month

Not a single PS3/Wii exclusive on that list, is this award show made by fanboys? No LBP or MGS4??

I dunno about that, if you play on veteran or higher the AI is difficult from start to finish. If you don't find cover, you're a dead man. Now about the review, I don't agree with short single player at all, there's 9-10 missions and each take a good amount of time, especially if you're going for all the symbols and exploring around. It'll easily take 10 hours

it's funny that people are arguing between the PS3 and 360 versions when we all know the PC version will be the best and the version to get(if you can run it)

How they say that a multi-player is essential to an FPS these days. The game that came to my mind was Bioshock. Fantastic single player game, FPS of course but there's no way it shouldve scored that high especially without a multi-player but that's just my opinion.

I guess Nintendo hasn't been making enough money, meanwhile most companies in the world have been losing money...

If you include the Ratchet and Clank expansion(3-4 hours of gameplay) this will be their 5th game, Resistance 1/2, Ratchet and Clank Future:TOD, Quest for Booty...
