You couldn't be more wrong, IGN usually reviews all 3 versions (notice how they say if there are graphical differences between the versions of the game), in some cases PS3 versions have scored less because of graphical inferiority or bugs. They even do head to head comparisons and recommend which one to buy, IGN is very thorough that's why they're so respected, not some lazy random game reviewing site.
It's because most 360 exclusives have used a 3rd party engine(mainly the UE 3) which while optimizations are great, doesn't really fully harness the power of the 360. Turn 10 is using their own engine and have worked with the xbox/360 for a while now, if Microsoft had more 1st/2nd party studios, they would have more games that truly showed the power of the 360 just like the PS3 has games like Uncharted, Killzone 2 etc etc
Major developers have been able to develop successfully for the PS3, Valve seems to be the only one not even giving the PS3 and its 23 million+ install base a second look. Capcom, Konami, Bethesda, Square, Epic, just to name a few have developed/currently developing PS3 games.
How can people still consider Valve so great when they aren't willing to take on a challenge like the PS3, they won't even try it, really sad and pathetic IMO.
Game of the show, new Mario Brothers?? No.
New game announcement? Did people just totally overlook Agent, I mean it is being developed by the same team that made GTA which is a worldwide hit. FFXIV MMO is being made by the XI developers so we'll see how that turns out.
Edge did give LBP 10/10 and GOTY so I dunno, they're just really off most of the time?
I agree, you get what you pay for so in those terms PSN has a lot going for it considering it's free. If PSN cost the same as Xbox Live and had the same inferiority, people would have the right to complain.
This game is amazing, I'm glad the DLC is making it's way to PS3. I wonder with the new expansion packs announced will they raise the level cap or get rid of it all together? The game just isn't as fun not getting any experience, so there ends up being no point in doing some of the optional stuff in the quests.
At least those are made by 2 different developers and in my case I always skip the treyarch ones.
so was SC conviction at Ubisoft's, that didnt stop them from going to MS's conference.
It could be timed exclusive for 360 so they could only announce ME 1 which would be a dead give away that 2 is on the way.
If they're using the an updated MGS4 engine, then yes it is going to be a PS3 engine, this game will be multi-plat which means they will lead on PS3 because that's the architecture Kojima productions is most familiar with and port over to 360 and PC. The PS3 engine will hold up fine on the 360 as other multi-plats lead on the PS3 and ported to the 360 have shown us. FF 13 on the 360 is a port, square enix said it themselves so it's the PS3 engine ported to the 360 and that looked like it held...
It's funny how MS wasn't saying anything when they got MGS 2 on the original Xbox which was an actual Metal Gear Solid game but now that they have the new "Metal Gear" game this gen they have to show it off to the world as if they took something from Sony.
MGS 1- PS1/PC
MGS Twin Snakes(remake of 1)- GC
MGS 2- PS2
MGS 2 Substance- Xbox/PC/PS2
The only MGS exclusive to Sony are 3 and 4, the others have appeared on other platforms INCLUDING MS...
My first assumption that it was fake was that Bungie logo at the bottom right, aren't they done with MS?
It starts June 3rd.
To those who dont mind having this as a game, Why don't we just add a level in all of the COD games where you drop the A-Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, if this is fair play so is that
How many WW2 games have you dropping A-Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Those games entail killing Japanese and German soldiers not civilians
Kennedy was killed by his own people and many people think 9/11 was also done by us, so how did America lose?
Most games made from historical events are made based on conflicts going on during the period, this was just an attack on civilian lives not a war.
I'm sorry but I lost a lot of respect for Valve, they're just being lazy here and obviously don't like challenges, they just want to keep using the same engine, make a few tweaks and keep releasing sequels every year for PC/360, well no thank you anymore Valve. Crytek is expanding to PS3, Epic moved over to PS3, I expect at some point even Blizzard will do a console game(PS3 included), so screw you Valve!
