i agree also...
now children sit close and i'll tell you a story. it's called "The hare and the tortoise"
have any of you heard this story before?
this is a MARATHON not a FREE SPRINT race
1) they had to ship too many 360 because of RRoD
2) a manufacturing line went down
3) it's just bs marketing to fool the consumer about the demand
closer to getting my Heroes in Blu... and transformers too... hehe
wrong, it only led by one year, it was out 1 year earlier with NO competition. so it was only leading for 1 year and i have a feeling the tide is turning
what shortages? the wii is a different animal. it's in such high demand. it's shipped and sold the same day. the 360 isn't in such high demand, it's always been on shelf for the past 2 years (minus launch) and it's been in production for 2 years so there shouldn't be a problem unless one of the manufacturing lines broke or shut down and we would have heard about it MONTHS PRIOR to the recent claim
what shortage? the one MS higher ups keep saying?
yeah, i downloaded it super early this morning and been playing since. on 3 courses and 2 players but it's uber fun, nonetheless.
can't wait until the full version is out.
that's why i like how MGS4 is coming. it throws you off gaurd from it's past iterations and throws you into battle settings. some developers are not afraid of change
the more i see/read about it the more i want it... does anyone know what the leading platform is for this one?
yeah, i don't doubt that the PS3 will catch up.. and quick.. just looking at the 2008 lineup already tells you it's momentum is in full gear after GDC...
and with the success of Blu-ray, it will look even more appealing to people who have yet to buy one.
uber hyped for MGS4. it will be the best MGS. i don't know where the saga will go after, but i hope they get the same writers and expand from Snakes legacy
where do these people draw these assumptions?
well, at least this isn't coming from a sony high up.
well, what else would MS or any company for that matter, say about their product? are they going to give negative news?
i don't think blu-ray is needed AT THE MOMENT but it will be 5 years from now. a mandatory HDD will be needed sooner than that.
BOTH help the developers feel less constrained and gives them more flexibility with their ideas for games
and i'm actually playing a few PS2 games. i think it's important, but that's subjective.
isn't there a law or something about failure rates?
i'm starting to like how it's coming along... and i agree with 1.0 i don't like to know too much about the games i'm excited about.
can't wait to put this in my blu-ray player... i mean PS3 :P
1) somewhere some manufacturing place had issues manufacturing 360's
2) MS had to ship way too many 360's because of RRoD
3) this is just bs marketing to fool consumers about the demand
