MS wasted their $ on GTA4 because MOST people look at the long run before buying an expensive console. so they will look at the games (present AND FUTURE) and that's how they usually base their decision on.
you have to admit the PS has WAY MORE exclusives than the 360

home should not be looked upon as a system seller, but i could be wrong because look how Second Life and The Sims turned out. and Home is FREE
then you add that you get all the multimedia sweetness, movies and games

i don't think price would matter too much seeing as non-elite owners have no other alternative to get HDMI. does it really output 1080p though?
it would be in sonys best interest to slowly phase out the ps2 and bring the fanbase over to the ps3. it'll be the games that will drive it and a price cut or two would be welcomed

yeah, they're well worth their price (as well as most Macs) and i'm pretty sure they're meant for professionals, hence the name. it would be overkill for a casual user.
yeah, i have Windows running off parallels but i don't game with it. i use it just for the PS3 Theme editor. if they had a Mac version i would have never put Windows on my Mac.
with Windows installed you can do EVERYTHING available on Windows. just make sure you have good specs like RAM.

you do know that ALL the Macs now can run Windows as well and i know people who game running off parallels without a problem. you could dual boot too if you want
