Japanese fans are probably under the impression they are secondary customers for this remake.
maybe others will like that the remake has mindless gameplay, but those people also hate the way the original plays.
He completely got rid of the gameplay and replaced it with something else while keep the characters and story. In interviews he always talks badly about the way the original plays. The story, characters etc are all just dressing over top of the gameplay, just like any other game. I dont want one of his battle systems anywhere near this game.
Because he scrapped the core gameplay and is replacing it with one of his crappy battle systems. He already helped make final fantasy xv and kingdom hearts 3 extremely disappointing with his gameplay ideas.
I would love to see it compared to total wow sales, we only ever get current subscription numbers for a game that’s 15 years old.
Many of them actually run on emulators with a few config changes. And then people swear the textures have been upgraded when all the did was change render resolution. Xbox one x enhancements have exposed this for even console only players.

This is with the assumption that the new textures actually look better, just because they are higher resolution doesn’t mean they are better.
xbox one x is a niche console, it couldnt survive without the lower spec version.
Spoiler, whoever is directing the remake seems to hate the original game.
It’s well past that point, it’s like the director thinks the original game sucks.
Yes the core gameplay of the game is an important part of what the game is, how can anyone argue otherwise? Unless you aren’t being sarcastic, then a remake still isn’t something where the game becomes a different genre lol.
