This looks great so far.
Its crazy that activision published this awesome game, I thought it would be ruined by them.
destiny still made money, anthem doesnt seem like it will.
Ya, but if you want a baseball game The Show is amazing and no other game provides that experience.
Why is twitch viewership so important?
Don’t the show games always sell really well?
We should see the diskless model go for even less.
Considering half the kids playing console are stuck on only fortnite, why would they need a disk drive?
Game streaming actually makes no sense at all for the customer or the provider. Some suits that don’t understand how streaming works probably thought it was a great idea though. With Netflix or any other video streaming you get the next chunk of data as needed and the USER’S device does all the processing. Video games just dont work that way, and why would game companies want to process games for users in the first place in an age where an iPhone can already run fortnite at 60fps? Digital ga...
Nobody cares about it except the media who is paid to talk about it and maybe some astroturfers. The whole global warming thing makes no sense at all in this context either, let’s wait and see if stadia is even around in a few years first.
@rainslacker that’s because console makers keep finding new ways to squeeze more money out of their user base.
Depends on the game, and even the console you are talking about.
3 platforms vs one, not to mention valve is a private company and not even included in this. Also a lot of that console revenue is them charging for services that are free on pc, but that’s how Sony and Microsoft make up for having either no profits or loses on hardware.
It’s a free update, not sure what you are on about. Now if they were charging for proud mode that would be a farce, but not something I would blame “casual gamers” for. There are plenty of other harder games out there if you want them.
Cool for those that want it, but I feel like a hard mode would just be frustrating in this game. I’m pretty sure it was designed to just be easy and entertaining, the combat system doesn’t seem deep enough for true challenging gameplay.
Google Stadia is just a streaming platform, it wont take off. It actually doesnt make any sense to run games server side at all, but some suit must have thought it was a great idea even though consumers have already voted against this with their wallets. Digital games only might happen, but game streaming is not a video that is processed on the users device like netflix. When an iphone xs can run fornite at 60fps in 2019, please remind me why a company would want to run games server side and ...
These graphs never break things down by each console platform, and even more frustratingly to me the two main mobile platforms are grouped together.
DOTA 2 and CS:GO are both big cash cows, so ya without valve we are missing a huge chunk of pc gaming revenue. We may never get the full picture for pc gaming though, we only have a vague idea. PC isnt a tightly controlled platform like the consoles or even the mobile OSes.
Its generally considered one of the best games of all time, has been since it came out. It also happens to come from a series full of all time great games that sometimes overshadow it.
People buying this werent going to buy disks anyway.
