I think you said this in another post, and I'll say to you what I said then....if the game of this generation is a cross-gen title that is designed to be playable on the base ps4, as gamers we all lose. As much as I am looking forward to playing cross gen titles like Horizon, GT7, and God of War, I hope this generation offers much more, and so should you.

I bought the proprietary 1 tb seagate expansion for series x at launch, and I've been very happy with it. When the update that allowed for operation of the ssd slot for ps5 went live, I had a 1 tb WD Black ready to go for install. I also have a seagate external hard drive connected to my ps5 for ps4 game storage. The good thing is that we have options. Everybody likes to complain about storage space that comes packed in with the consoles, but you can't get both expanded ssd storag...
Honda's are actually reliable vehicles, for the most part, and score that way year after year. I like many models in the Mercedes lineup, but the gle 63 is rated worst vehicle in 2021 for reliability, and others in their lineup like the e class have their own problems. Tesla scores low also. Many times the tech in these cars is the problem. More complexity = more complications.
In short, I take issue with your Honda/Merc analogy.

I really liked TLOU II, particularly the gameplay mechanics, the animations, etc....but the guitar mechanics and the forced touchpad implementation was one of the things I definitely did not enjoy.
I'm afraid to ask exactly what year they plan on that unlikely event occurring.......

As the owner of a ps5 and series x, I believe that although the "next gen" exclusive games have not been that numerous, what has been available has been fantastic, and well worth the purchase price. Add to that the enormous convenience of faster loading times with an ssd, improved fidelity, fantastic Sony controller, true performance vs fidelity options (60fps or 30 fps choice)...I could go on, but the bottom line is I've enjoyed both consoles, and the purchase has been absolut...

Some of you folks (like magog) are truly confused if you think a game designed to run on the ps4's only limitation will be resolution and detail. The ps4 is why Forbidden West probably won't have flying mounts...the ps4 doesn't have the ability to load the data quickly enough. The ps4 is also the reason why the walking patterns of the robot machines will be just as predictable and confined to small areas just as they were in the first game. Wake up.
