What a sh*tshow.
If you say so.....
I was always going to play Forbidden West due to the good time I had with Zero Dawn. Aloy was probably my favorite new character from the last generation and I'm looking forward to experiencing her adventure on ps5. I hope to be as impressed with this game as I was the first, but even if it doesn't hit me quite as hard (fully delivering on a sequel is never easy) I still believe I will enjoy my time with the game.
It's the reviewers opinion and she's free to express it...just as you see fit to express your opinion here, and just as you would if you were asked to review a game for a website. You saying she can't call out s*** like this based on something Nancy Pelosi did is ludicrous.
Her complaint was much more nuanced than face paint being used on characters....it was that there was no contextualization...it was merely something to be bought for with trinkets with no identification of the cultural significance. So in her opinion it is gamification of heritage. Until I play the game for myself I won't know if I agree or disagree, but that is how I read her comment.
@p_bomb
I agree with your opinion, but I also would offer the suggestion that the reviewer also has a right to her opinions. It doesn't make you right or her wrong, or vice versa, we are all entitled to have differences of opinions based on our backgrounds. I don't really have any context to her feeling of misrepresentation outside of the limited number of words in the article touching on it, and until I play the game for myself I really wouldn't know if I would tend to...
I didn't. Thanks.
Loved Zero Dawn, so I was going to be playing this regardless, but it's nice to see it's getting some very good scores from some of the bigger sites....I will be playing it on ps5 and hoping to be impressed.
@eonjay
Best selling sports game? Are we forgetting about games like Fifa, Madden, and NBA 2k?
I didn't include Gran Turismo as I assume you're referring to yearly sports games....
If it's legit and good quality I will finally consider purchasing this game.
??? Of course I did, and you made my point for me.
Multiple endings make crafting the story for future installments very difficult. What you end up doing is diluting the next game in the series story path because you have to account for all the variations....better to have a clear, concise vision for where you eventually want the franchise' story to end.
I agree with you, but I also know that even if Starfield (or any other MS first party) doesn't deliver I will at least try it because of gamepass. That goes for every first party game they will release. That is a big value to me. Hard to argue otherwise.
I still love my Sony first party games and as long as they keep delivering I will always love them....they have been the best games of every generation (to me personally) going back all the way to the ps1. But hav...
I think games like Halo and Forza were plenty reason to own an xbox already, and that's without including the huge availability of titles on gamepass. I'm fortunate to own a ps5 and a series x, and I'm getting plenty of good games for both in 2022. I've owned every playstation console, several nintendo consoles, and the 360 and series x from microsoft. I love games. It's silly to put down what nintendo or microsoft has to offer just because you don't have those sys...
Just threw the black Sony console covers on my ps5....now it matches the rest of the electronics in my system.
I hope gamers still looking for the console they want get it in 2022....a lot of great games coming this year.
My personal top 10 list would include Horizon, God of War, Starfield, GT7, Elden Ring, Little Devil Inside, Stalker 2, Replaced, Starfield, and Somerville.
I vehemently disagree.
Absolute Legend. My all time favorite broadcaster....by far. RIP.
I as soooo ready for gaming in 2022. Bring on the great games!!
I bought the ps5 disc launch edition but I definitely considered the digital version....I find myself buying physical for franchises I tend to care more about, and digital for those I don't consider holding onto long term...maybe that makes little sense as even physical versions still require support to continue to work over the years, but it's just what I'm used to. Gran Turismo will be a digital purchase for me, whereas the next God of War will be physical. All my xbox games a...
