guess Bad Company 2 is proving to be more competition on the pc than activision was willing to admit.
is it a monopoly? i don't think so. is it unfair? hell no. valve did something any other company could have done. valve has done right by consumers as well as it's partners.
For devs: no crazy licensing fees. no forcing devs to charge a set price for games. devs have control to update games as they see fit. no crazy sdk's needed to create the games. no bandwidth charges for dlc downloads.

the return on the console side is simply hard to ignore imo even after certification fee's go to the system maker and the devs publisher. 59.99 for a game is a tough sell on pc ubi and acti have learned that I'd like to think assassins creed II is on steam for 59.99 and it won't sell as much as it's console counterparts. bFBC2 sells for 49.99 and iirc the pc version has been outselling the console versions. actually the playstation brand had little to do with the dreamcast dying and more to do with sega's bad business tactics i.e allowing sega USA to make decisions and partner with MSFT on certain things with SEGA Japan not being the wiser. This is why you see games like Shenmue II on the xbox in the states and on the dreamcast in all other regions. If SEGA japan, usa, and europe had been more unified they probably wouldn't have had to stop making hardware.

Remedy not sure what the xbax division is telling you but don't insult my intelligence and I think I speak for all gamers not just pc gamers. Open and honest communication is what we want. Simply tell us you're not making a pc version because msft is trying to channel all their game revenue into the 360 and since they are funding the game you have 0 say in the matter.
no darkpower just no. It would not be a big deal to anyone but the select few of ps3 owners who feel they are owned everything and anything from the gaming industry.
It would be nice announcement for gamers, but the SHOCK would be nothing more than fuel for the 'console' warz
